Does a Geritol tablet come with every coffee served?
Respect your elders young man. And be glad you still have some.
My dad was prof that the longer you live, the fewer friends and classmates come to you service. I had to call his roommate from NCSU when he passed, Herb said that makes him the last of them still alive. Herb is I believe 93 now.

Those old farts will take you out back and beat your butt for that kind of talk.

:D
That comment fits this part comic part of the forum. You ever see two old guys fight ? They both swing, both miss and fall down. Then forget why they were on the ground and help each other up. Had this old guy get mad at me work and threatened me to go out into the parking lot and settle it. Told him the same story, he thought for a min and said I was probably right. He just walked away and the rest of the customers had a good laugh.

It’s actually a very “ecumenical” group of long time riders. Much like this thread, at least with regard to the diversity of bikes and riders.

And they show up on everything, most of which I’ve posted here at some time or another.

Old a new BMWs
Old and new Moto Guzzis
Old and new Triumphs
Old Nortons, (because their aren’t any new ones)
Later model Indians (post 1953)
Side car hacks
Old and new Harley's
Bob on his Goldwing- he logs some serious miles
Lots of adventure, dual sport, and sport bikes.

You’d have fun if you weren’t so far away.

Been there, done that.

The worst thing about it was all the other riders giving me a thumbs up for being hardcore - from their cars!

I'm not really that hardcore. I was moving and I had to get the bike from the old place to the new place.

In December.

In New Hampshire.

I've been thru a few hail storms and I can tell you ..

I'm not hard core, I can't think of a reason why I have to ride thru hail.
I don't have to get anywhere that bad.
If I cant find shelter, I will just stop, cover up and wait till it stops.
It's like getting hit with hundreds of paint balls all at the same time.

Been racing dirt bikes most of my life. When I was 30 I had to race against teenagers that thought they were the next MX star. Him and I racing for a single track corner, only one of us is going to make it. Him is 17 years old, he gets hurt, he gets 2 weeks off from school and Mom taking care of him. I get hurt, the Wife tells me to suck it and goes to work. House payment and child support doesn't get paid, and I go to jail. I going to give him that corner. Then I got 35 years old and raced in the Vet class, sooo much better because we both had something to lose. Then I started racing against the Seniors and I'm back to where I started from. Senior class is filled with really fast riders that just don't care anymore. House is paid for, kids are gone , full health care and might be their last chance at a trophy.
