Well, first track day on the R6 is done and dusted. Me, well, I feel like I've been run over by a car, lol. I've never been this sore riding the Honda. Those damn R6's are torture racks, but overall I'm pleased. That engine has got some steam for sure, and I went through the kink at CMP faster than I've ever gone, 121 mph.
I spent some time working on the suspension, as the guys that "say" they tune suspension said they were more worried about doing tires, and took my number and said they would text me "if" they had time. I went by at lunch, and same story. I told them maybe they shouldn't advertise suspension tuning if they really didn't have time or didn't want to fool with it. Anyway.
I had bad chatter under heavy braking, so I worked on that and got it straight, and then I had to play around with tire pressures to get the Dunlops happy. The Q4's did pretty good, but they will be my first and last set I use, as I will be going back to full slicks. I didn't have any trouble out of the bike, but will be changing some stuff up on it. I don't like the clutch and brake levers, and I'm gonna change front pads, as the ones on it offered plenty of bite, but not much feel. I'll go back to my tried and true Vesrah race pads. So, all in all, a good day, as the bike and I came home like we left the house. Changes, they are a coming, lol. Oh, GoPro videos will be getting uploaded hopefully tomorrow.
