Netflix raised prices again, the wife said that's enough and now netflix is gone from our lineup.

Maybe in another few years they'll have enough content to make a few months subscription make sense again.

I was mad about it but wasn't only like 40-50 cents a month increase this time?

We only keep it for guests to use in the spare bedroom as the main TV's have a super service with everything (only 2 users at a time though).

So how much is it now?

We share my BIL’s account and they share our Hulu, so idk how much Netflix is these days.

All we have is Netflix and Prime. Internet is very limited here. We have a verizon Hotspot, that sometimes works great, other times not so much

If I am not mistaken it is $19.99 a month now from $19.20 last month.

Guess I am wrong

Just looked it up and maybe I have just been getting ripped off this whole time. Why have I been paying $19.20 a month while the increase if to 20 and article are saying $1-2 increase. Hold up, might have to raise hell!

I got an mifi thingy. The phone route was gonna cost me $40 more a month.

We've got 4 phones on my Verizon plan. The "kitchen phone" costs me $47 a month on paper. I set out to cancel it a few months ago and found it really costs less than $20 a month because the overall plan price goes down with each additional phone on the plan.

Streaming Netflix is only $15.11 total per month for us. Maybe we are locked into some rate since we have had it since July 2014?

Haven't had cable for over 10 years. Won't ever go back.

Hulu, Netflix, Prime and Disney+ here. Just recently cancelled Discovery+ @ $7.55 per month. Loved the "science" type shows for homeschooling but we watched them all. Recently discussed cancelling Netflix just this past week but our soon to be 11 year old son is absolutely hooked on Seinfeld so it looks like we keep it. Well worth the money hearing the boy dropping Seinfeld quotes into conversations :)

EDIT: Ahhh got it...Standard Plan 2 streams ($15) vs. Premium Plan multiple streams + 4K & HDR ($20)

Hulu is a good site. It will have some shows from current seasons.

I just got Netflix a few months ago, was debating between that and HBO max. What do you guys think is better.

My wife is trying to watch Lucifer on nutflix now, it doesn't buffer worth a crap. No issues, ever, with Hulu or Amazon buffering.

Just cancelled our subscription. Hulu, Prime and HBOMax for us

Though I will miss The Last Kingdom and The Witcher

Are you all cancelling over an extra dollar per month?
Not really. It's more the fact that they were dumb enough to raise prices and remind me I don't watch but two shows on Netflix all year. If they had left it alone I wouldn't have considered how little I value their service.

I cancelled Netflix a year ago, but it had nothing to do with price.

I would flip through the offerings and select nothing time & again. Nothing they had available appealed to me. Finally, I got tired of their constant stream of woke propaganda BS.

January 23, 2022 my Netflix bill was $9.64. Am I special?

.
That’s a promo price, $8.99 plus tax, probably for their standard tier. Current pricing tiers are basic (480i and one user at a time) $10, standard (1080i and 2 users at a time) $15.50 and premium (4K and 4 users at a time) $18.

just as others have already posted....

1. we cut-the-cord years ago.
2. we share with friends/family regarding Netflix, etc. if desired.
3. so far this year, NOTHING is available on ANY pay service worth our time.

That has started happening to me sometimes, more so recently but sometimes I do find some interesting onesk for example I’ve been watching a Korean sci-fi series called The Silent Sea. I do find that I like a lot of the foreign stuff more so than the Hollyweird offerings. I’ve watched shows from Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Korea, Denmark, and others that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.

I hear ya. I got Amazon a while ago, and the situation is roughly the same, though so far Amazon has more stuff I'm interested in.

Which is not the same thing as saying Amazon doesn't push their share of prancing rainbow quota agitprop. They do.

just picked up amazon, we had it a while ago (i really enjoy topgear/grand tour so it was a must) for reacher.

we borrow moms netflix but its mostly the wife watching shows I find stupid.

disney for the toddler(we have watched bluey like 20 times through)
