Anything that was on the Dr Demento show back in the day would be a prime candidate for this thread, but these guys were one of my faves.
Unfortunately, a lot of the songs that played on the show are extremely hard to track down, out of print, or both. Even the "Basement Tapes" albums put out by the show are hard to find and expensive when you can.
I remember staying up late, listening to the show on AFN Radio when I lived in Germany and recording them to cassette tapes. Wish I still had the cassettes.
