Looking for opinions on Glock aftermarket triggers. Now that USPSA has changed the rules and will allow aftermarket triggers in Production starting in May, I'm looking to upgrade my competition guns. More to the point, since my unfortunate neck surgery for a blown cervical disc that pinched the nerve in my right arm, my trigger finger has nerve issues. I'm having great difficulty shooting and finding the reset for followup shots as the stuff just ain't there anymore so to speak. Just looking for actual user opinion. Ive got time to experiment.
Top triggers may include:

SSVI Tyr Glock triggers
Overwatch Precision
Wheaton Arms
Hyve Technologies
Zev
Pyramid
Agency Arms
Vanek

Make a suggestion and I'll add to the list.

I don't have any aftermarket triggers in my Glocks but...I messed with a G26 last week at Denver Defense in their used case that has an Agency trigger. Absolutely loved it. Almost no takeup, breaks like glass, and a short tactile reset. Love the feel of the smooth, flat face too. Not on your list but maybe worth a look.

Is that Agency Arms?

You might find this review interesting. This guy is a very good Glock shooter. He found that their were a bunch of aftermarket triggers that disabled some of the Glock safeties, so he left them out of the review, which I found interesting.
But the ones he did do all maintain factory safeties. I have been curious about the Dues Ex Machina myself. Might get one at some point. Or something else. So, I;ll be interested in this thread myself.

Interested to hear what others have to say regarding this topic. I’m looking to pick up something for a new Gen 5. I will say that I have an Apex in my EDC Gen 4 19 and it is a significant improvement over the factory trigger. I will very likely at least try an Apex in the new gun, but definitely look forward to hearing others’ opinions on the topic as well. Especially those that have competition experience with Glocks.

I have an Apex flat trigger in my Gen 4 19, and I like it a lot better that the stock.

Just got the Overwatch Precision in the mail. Love it...dropped almost a full pound off the pull, and the feel is great. Need to shoot it to know for sure

I run the Suarez Flat and Straight.

I was seriously considering getting a Suarez. I like their magwel a lot.
But they have renamed their triggers:
“The Face Shooter Trigger”.

Had to pass for a carry gun! Don’t know why they think that is a good idea.

Lol... What a bunch of maroons... For gunfighters by gunfighters? No thanks. Don't need anymore labels from the snowflakes...

So which one is the best value? I don't see $135+ dollars for a trigger that I don't have an issue with, but the tinkerer in me would be intrigued in the $50-60 range for a shoe/bar combo that brings something to the game...

I couldn't care less what they call them, shit works good and it's very reasonably priced. For the record though, it's was just called a flat and straight when I bought the two of mine.

My open G17 has a trigger from Orange county customs triggers. Uses factory parts. Mine breaks clean and at around 2.5lbs.

My carry gun G19 has a Apex trigger shoe and a polish job. A clean 5lbs. Perfect for carry imo.

I picked up an Apex Tactical Solutions "Action Enhancement Trigger W/Gen 3 Factory Trigger Bar" for a Gen 3 Glock 37" (I also have a .40 conversion barrel for this gun, which is the same size as the Glock 22.)

The Apex trigger changes the nature of the gun, with a trigger that has a little takeup and a very clean break. (I got the gun at a reasonable price -- because it's .45 GAP -- and didn't feel bad about adding to the cost with trigger kits and conversion barrel. I may get the same trigger kit, eventually, for a Glock 38 (.45 GAP) which is my bedside gun. I've found that Georgia Arms has .45 GAP at nearly the same price as .45 ACP, so I get my ammo there.

The APEX trigger system is costly, but I'd argue its worth every cent. (I think they have the trigger systems for other generations, too.)

I have an OC Glock trigger in my G26. It's pretty decent...but it's the factory shoe with modifications. I like it in my 26, but in my G34's I'm going to go with a flatter faced trigger.

Apex is on my list to try out. A good friend has one and will let me borrow his. I'll probably end up buying a few different ones in the end. I 've got the Overwatch Precision , and I'm waiting on the Tyr in the mail.

I was right there with you until the Injury. Now that I'm having trouble with the reset I'm willing to put some money Into my USPSA guns. I know theres a solution, because I don't nearly have as much problem with my Apex'ed up Shield.

Yeah they used to have a “duty” model and others.

I don’t care what they call it. I just won’t buy it if it’s called a “face shooter” made by “gunfighters” for gunfighters. I do not consider myself a gunfighter or a face shooter, and don’t want a judge or jury to consider me one either.

Soooo...AR-15 platforms (and many other semi-auto rifles) are called "assault rifles". What about them?

The Colt SAA was called the "Peacemaker", does that make it off limits as well?

Magazines over 10 rounds in some jurisdictions are called "high capacity magazines". Are these off limits?

Hollowpoint bullets, and many other bullet designs and names, likewise have a stigma in certain circles. Are these off limits?

Don't get me wrong...I'm not in the least interested in this trigger. But we commonly accept many things, indeed we push for the acceptance of many things, that amount to nothing more than evil baby killers in some circles.

The only aftermarket Glock trigger I own is an Overwatch TAC with ghost connector. I really like it.

That's what I posted...Overwatch TAC with a Ghost Edge...really nice so far.

The only custom dealie-o I have is a Zev Tech in a G41, so I don't really know how it compares to the others. It has the adjustments for break weight and reset.
What I like about it-
The adjustments are fairly easy to do and change. They stay where you leave them. Right now I'm at about 2.5lbs on the break and reset is near immediate.
The trigger shoe is wide with no bling. Feels good on the finger.
Fit and fitment is good. No hacking is needed.
The whole thing is stainless steel, including the metal shoe.
The trigger safety is crisp and positive, unlike the stock trigger.
There's no take-up. None. Once the trigger safety is depressed, it will fire.
It has performed superbly with no malfunctions.
It looks good without going over the top.

What I don't like is more of an observation rather than a diss.-
If you get lazy, you'll double-tap the hell out of it. This falls on me though since the way I have it adjusted. If I were to add some distance to the reset it wouldn't be so touchy. I like it that way though and have gotten used to it. When someone else try's it, dry-fire testing is a must before they go live, and even then they usually double tap it at least once. So in sum, you can get it to the point of almost being too sensitive.

No way would I put this in a carry gun with an adrenaline loaded finger.

You gotta want one and commit. They're not cheap. The current black plastic models msrp for around $150. The stainless one was around $200.
After having one, would I spend the money on another one? Yes, but it wouldn't go into a clunker.

I tried to link the model from the zev website, but they don't list the stainless one anymore. Shame. That part is at the top of my favorite features..metal shoe. g41-3 sm.jpg

Great info. Is there any problem with the trigger safety dingus not engaging?

If you don't have anything constructive to add to this thread that pertains to the theme of my OP, I kindly ask that you stop posting.

I'm a "professional contrarian", too.

But seriously...what's the deal with replacing "Glock perfection" with another trigger that functions the same way, with a "safety" that isn't actually a safety?

Seems to me that if one is going to replace the trigger on a Glock, they ought to replace it with one that doesn't have that fancy bit of engineering that doesn't actually perform any useful function.
