I can't say if they function better or not since mine are all still new in the package.
I like that little bumper thing. I switched to troy for indoor rifle matches after breaking a couple Pmags doing mag changes. The bumper is useful. If you don't need it though, they come with a flat insert too.
Didn't you buy like 750 of those? LolTroy, for obvious reasons.
Booger's take is similar to my opinion. The battlemags feel a less less rugged than Pmags. I can't say if they function better or not since mine are all still new in the package.
I think he's right. How many cases was it?I think you have me confused with @BurnedOutGeek or @cubrock

Not me - I'm a mag whore, just not remotely close to being in the same echelon as those fine gentlemanThought you three split ALL the cases
Kinda how I feel as well. I have Gen 1, 2, and I think a few new 3 PMags, maybe like 10 Troys, USGI that were "acquired" by my Stepdad when he was still in SF, D&H, C Products, Lancer, and I think that's it... I want to try some Amend2 especially considering you can get 20 of them from Brownells for like $115 shipped. I also really like the looks of Hexmags, but don't have any.I've used both, as well as other brands and at this stage in the game I really >functionally< haven't seen much difference.
A few personal observations:
To me the Troy Mags feel more delicate. Not quite as robust as the Pmags I have. Again, hasn't led to any reliability issues, but still.
Troy offers some mags with this little rubber nob on the bottom to aid in taking it in and out of magazine pouches. It works, but makes shooting from prone or anywhere you may have the mag supporting the rifle at all a pain.
My personal preference is Pmags>GI>then Troy. But again, it's based on personal aesthetic preference over actual functional differences.

The reason I was asking is that Western Sports still has both on sale as of Sept. 8th:
Troy 30 rd. for $6.49
Pmag 30 M2 for $8.99
Both "While supplies last".
Buy 5 of both...see what you prefer, then give me the ones you don't like.
