Pistol braces

You give the crybabies their $20 back and I’ll pony up as a life member to support what needs to be done to keep the forum from getting into trouble.
Screw that. They signed up and then made a decision to bail when they didn't like the direction CFF was going. The direction change was something not connected with CFF. No (verbal) contract was broken.

No refund.

While I think braced AR pistols are handy, convenient and useful, the idea that keeping one means someone else controls my ability to reconfigure it, transport it or sell is not a value proposition to me. But, I think it's ridiculous, what they are trying to do.

More dead horse beating Take the stock off you can do whatever you want with it even after you register it . Treat it like a pistol. Put the stock back on it and take it the same places you'd take a rifle. One form once a year crossing state lines. Its really not that much of an inconvenience.

I will say when I hear people complaining that they can't hunt with their SBR during pistol only season I dont have any sympathy for them. Im not much of an empathetic person though.

I didn’t even know this was a thing.

A friend of mine long ago did an interesting bypass of NY State’s “pistol and shotgun only“ regions.

Remington XP-100 in .375 JDJ. It was a beast.

Yeah, just not a fan of trying (hard) to bypass fish and game rules.

Let not overlook that anyone hunting with a ar “pistol” probably isn’t hunting with an ethical caliber in the first place…seem more deer wasted (lost) with 5.56 than any other caliber. And I’ve yet to see a ar-10 pistol…

They exist as do other 308 pistols

Plenty of options for 6.8/6.5/300BLK short uppers on a braced lower. Heck, I could’ve put my 10.5” Beowulf upper on a braced lower if I’d wanted to. 😎

I’d love to see some chronograph data from one. Seems like it’s only be good for making cool fireballs.

And I guess the reality is there’s no legal definition of pistol as far as barrel length is concerned. So you could take a braced lower with an 18” barrel and technically be in the right. 🤣

Better than you think.

So uhh…. who wants to bet that this whole “pistol brace ban” will actually reduce/stop mass shootings involving braced pistols 🤡 I swear politicians are stupid.
I’ve heard of two, and I doubt there will ever be more, since braced pistols won’t be a thing, so I guess they can claim victory.
