Post Your Furry Friends...

This one has had a day...first, completely confused as I was moving a bunch of stuff around in prep for the carpets to be cleaned:

Had to catch a snooze to recover...

Then had to stand watch the whole time the carpet cleaner guy was here:

After he was gone, she went around rooting all over the carpet...to the point her head and neck was a damp as if she’d been out in the rain. 😂

Tomorrow morning she gets a quick trip for to the vet for a bordatella dose.

A blue weimaraner, Rachel was kept in a puppy-mill until she was about four years old. Then they dropped her off at the pound with no information.

We rescued her when we were in California and for the first time in her life, she lived indoors with humans. Like most weimaraners, she was a velcro dog, and followed me everywhere in the house.

She had gotten an infection during a pregnancy which damaged her retinas and she went blind a few years after she entered our lives. About two years ago, she developed glaucoma and cataracts and we had to have her eyes removed.

Still, she persisted and was a major part of our lives for the last 12 years.

We said goodbye this morning. Now she's seeing her new world, running after all the squirrels.

Goodbye, Rachel.

I gave that post a 'Love', not because she's gone, but because of the love and dedication you showed her.
You'll see each other again.

Kato B. Featherbutt my umbrella cockatoo, I’ve had her for 25 yrs., and she will outlive me.
I cant find pictures of my african grey parrot, Harley and my sun conure parrot, Tequila.
And our deceased pitbulls Layla and Honey who are waiting for me over the rainbow bridge, they passed within months of each other, both hit by cars at night on our unlit road..for years they went out on their own to use the bathroom, we live rural and people fly down our road day and night..Lilly is not allowed out without me....we think the drivers deliberately hit them, its now a common thing to do on this road many neighbors have lost their pets on this road in the last few years and have witnessed asshole people go out of their way to hit an animal...whats wrong with these people?

When guns become outlawed,I will become an outlaw!
The fact that the government would even consider repealing the second amendment is the very reason for which it was written.

So sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things.

Sometimes, the best thing to do is sit in the sun and hold a raggedy old Christmas stocking/bone in your mouth.

After we got home from my mom’s last night, she was worn out. Crawled up behind me on the couch, tucked her head in, and was out!

My mother has a crazy cat ... lays under the tree, climbs the tree, steals ornaments, etc so the tree had a history of being knocked over. About 4 years an eye bolt in the ceiling and 50lb test fishing line ... no more knocked over tree.

Yeah the ball ornaments turn into punching bags!
