Apparently he wants to help getting the garden ready.

Here's my little ass kicker the other day after a bath because she got muddy at the pond. Her hair looks all nappy. When she dries out she's a fluffy little turd

Roscoe, aka Tiny Dog, at 10wks & the newest addition to our pack of German Short-legged Hounds.

Little MFer is WFO, smart as hell & a sneaky little shit. All kindsa sweet & lovable as hell, but 110% wiener dog.

L-R- Goober, Dottie, Roscoe & Bubba.

Bubba & Goober are 10 y/o littermates & sweet & affectionate as can be. We got Dottie at 2 1/2 y/o (she's almost 9 now) from a breeder who was removing her from her breeding program. Dislikes/is afraid of other males, but is unequivocally MY dog & goofy sweet. She goes completely feral outdoors, killing & eating any critter that she can catch, with at least 2 birds, a skink & a mouse to her credit. She's totally mama bear & keeps the boys on the straight & narrow (when she's not getting into trouble with them).

Roscoe is a rescue from a hoarder/backyard breeder situation. My MIL had gotten a rescue Dachshund from this program before & when they ended up with 30 Dachshunds (10 of 'em pregnant), they called her up. She couldn't take another dog, but they were desperate to home these dogs & asked her if she knew anyone. Of course, we'd been thinking about another pup for a while, so....

He's about 5 lbs there. He's also noticeably bigger than Bubba was at that age & he's 19 1/2 lbs. With the way the short-hairs pack on muscle, it wouldn't surprise me if he went over 20lbs.

Dogs like Dachshunds & Jack Russells would be dangerous if they were 50+ lb dogs. Mine have zero concept of their size & are absolutely fearless & will attack much larger dogs on sight.

Goofy, highly intelligent, willful, loyal & very loving dogs. They can be a handful sometimes, but they never fail to make me laugh.

That pup has some massive paws!

Little shit is 4 1/2 mos old now. Already weighs over 11lbs (big for a Dachshund puppy) & still not keeping up with them paws. Solid little dog, fast & smart as a whip. Can't believe how quick he picks things up. He's still batshit crazy, but such a little love bug. lol...

Little brown one on the left is momma to the other three...
Precious (momma)
Fonzie -(on my shoulder) firstborn, now in another home
Casey, golden retriever-looking mutt in the middle

And Flash, runt of the litter....named for the white blaze running from betwixt his eyes, down his belly, up past his butthole (lol, yes) to the tip of his tail.
He weighed in at 73lbs this morning when I took him to the vet.
Do me a favor boys (and gals), he went to sleep at 245pm, and my best fur-buddy is gone- drink a toast to him for me as the docs forbade me from any alky-hall till all the meds are done.

with his momma-

Okay, just to keep the thread going, another picture of Bailey aka The Beast. Probably best companion I have ever had. She tracks deer, fetches ducks, loves to go hiking, has been in the kayak a few times and behaved and in general a low maintenance dog except for the occasional trim. Believe this is near Wolf Rock at Hanging Rock. We go in early and do 5 or 6 miles before the crowds show up. By the time it gets hot, I am at home drinking beer.Bailey Wolf Rock.jpg

One of the six....

Chillin with Pasha on the sofa last night. Yes, he really is that big. He's a Kangal, which is a Turkish livestock protection breed. A very gentle giant (unless you're a predator).

My goodness! How big is he height and weight wise? Makes you look like a midget (and my apologies if you happen to be a midget :p).

Have some friends in Texas with one that lives with the livestock. Not a dog to be trifled with.
