My best friend had to give an unexpected final farewell to Buckeye the beagle today. Buckeye was a member of their family from the time he was still a puppy, and raised three kids and several grandkids. He will be sorely missed 😞
Just snapped this pic of my pitiful Lucie girl on the couch. She's ready to go help me in the shop but I told her she had to wait till wood stove warmed it up a bit down there. So shes pouting. There's nothing greater then a poor old spoiled rotten dog.

She was neglected for sure. Gonna need to have an eyelid surgery. Not sure what it's called. Also will be spayed and have her stomach stapled to her side to help prevent it from flipping if she gets bloat. She is a love from day 1. She has been with us 2 weeks.

My buddy had a hard week of protecting the house while I was gone last week. He is catching up on sleep inbetween running the neighbors dogs off. He did a great job
I cannot say enough about the high level of care at NCSU CVM. Stella got bad mastitis with a sudden temperature spike from 101.8 to over 105 at 2:30 this morning. She got discharged from icu and was back nursing her pups shortly after lunch. The vets were fantastic and took the time to teach us alternative ways to feed pups in the future if the need should arise.
