I haven't been as active lately trying to live life. I need to say you guys here have been very supportive on line and in private during some trying times in my life such as the passing of my wife, my stroke and my recent pancreatic cancer issues. Well once again I need to ask for prayers for my Daughter, Son-in-law and grandchildren who have been living with me and caring for me while we endured all this. After 18 months of surgeries, chemo, radiation, tests and follow-ups we're entering a new chapter. I started Hospice at Home two days ago. My daughter and son-in-law realize what this will entail as they helped me care for my wife as she was cared for under Hospice at home when she passed. I'm not giving up I am saying I'm going out standing up, no longer feeling sickly, in pain and tired all the damn time. Cancer has had enough of my time and what time is left is mine to control now.
 
God please ease the sadness in the hearts of the this man's family and friends. And may they find joy, and comfort in the fact that he will be called home to you Lord. And to you @wmg819 may you sit at the table of the Father, in the Kingdom of Heaven, your wife beside you. Knowing peace and joy, for all eternity. Bless this family as they go through this journey together, Lord.

Sir, I applaud your spirit!! I'm not looking to hi-jack you, but rather to say that you are inspiring. I'm looking at your post through different eyes than most reading this, as I lost my dad on May 2nd and my fiance on June 21st. I'm not as strong as you and am now feeling rather guilty sitting here lonely, depressed, and full of self pity. I've backed away from the Bible (and everything else) lately, but tonight I will pick it back up.

Lord, please grant this man and his family comfort and peace as you prepare his place with you. I pray that his family knows or gets to know You as he has. AMEN

Praying for you and yours. For this thread to be the last negative thoughts of your hard fought battle. I pray that you and your family take great joy in each other each waking second. That you find the humor thatā€™s hidden in each annoying thing and focus solely on the positive. That you can look back past your most cherished memories and find new love in the little things you may have taken for granted. Lord comfort this family and fill them with your peace.
