Purchase Permit Taking Weeks!

March 28th - April 17th? That'd be a record time based on when we applied for PPPs way back in 2012. Took 90 days, and a phone call to each spouse to make sure they weren't planning to kill each other in Cabarrus. I asked the lady on the phone if she (as a deputy) carried a gun. She said yes. I said, great now process my forms so I can too.

I know a CHP is the way to go. Going for the class soon as this virus bs is over. I had mine when I moved to and lived in FL but due to Irma, life and financial reasons I didn't transfer it in time after moving back here. My FL one is not expired, though void at this point due to not being a FL resident anymore. (at least that is my understanding)

Yes the PPP is ridiculous if you ask me and even the fact that one must get a chp just to avoid it. Things like this do lead to more regulation, infringement etc. and I hope NC can repeal it.

Hopefully this virus has made more people aware of the importance of these rights and enough will start fighting for them to make the changes we need.

REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!

You guys live in the wrong county. Days to get a ppp. Back when I had to get one I walked into the sheriffs office and bumped into him on the way out the door. He stopped a spoke and asked what I needed. We talked a few minutes, he looked at the girl at the desk and told her to take care of me and I walked out with two permits.

This still happens in Harnett County, as I've had them within minutes, but did not want to discourage the original poster. If they know you, and come in often for the same stuff over and over again, you are well taken care of.
