Ruger American Ranch - WTH happened?

I was finally able to snag one (h/t to @Crazy Carl and @Frack N Cylons) at Sportsman's Warehouse. The gun desk clerk inspired zero confidence - "Wow I didn't even know they made these in Russian. Good luck finding ammo to feed it." :rolleyes: - but I'm glad they could do a site-to-store order (also, double eyeroll for the clerk telling me this model apparently takes Mini 14 mags).

Can't wait to run some x39 subs through this thing.

Is that the Magpul bipod?

So far so good. I have another Magpul bipod on a Zastava M91 in 7.62x54r. That thing is a bit of a hoss, but the bipod has held up well and hasn't come loose.

These are the versions with aluminum. I'm not sure if the all-polymer Magpul MOE bipod is out yet, but doubt it will hold up to a ton of abuse.

I have one in 6.5 Grendel set up real similar, I love these little rifles, it goes everywhere on the farm with me.
 
Finally got one in x39. Waiting on my scope to come in Monday or Tuesday. Tim shared a hot deal on a Vortex pst 1x4 last week, can’t wait to get it mounted and sighted in. Which bring up a question on some ammo. Anyone used Belom 7.62x39 brass case ammo before?
