Ruger American Ranch - WTH happened?

Anyone have experience with this site? Saw a X39 Ranch locally on Sat, but it was near the $600 mark...$400 is more my speed with a bit of shipping and a $15 transfer!

I’d like the .450BM thumper version, but I need a new caliber like we need a new coof variant! [emoji51][emoji1787]

No but they only accept Bitcoin, Zelle, and prepaid cards for payment. In other words SCAM site!!!! Stay away!!!!

Ah, good point! I did not notice that was all they took for payment. I saw they were based out of Baltimore (not a hotbed for gun businesses) which really caught my attention.

Ruger #26965, that's the AR-mag version of the 5.56 model. Once those came out and Ruger moved past those older 5-round rotary mags the guns took off.

I couldn't count how many times I've had someone offer to buy mine while either at the range or hunting camp. For my purposes, it's the perfect quiet little bolt gun. I do have my Turbo can on it so light and quiet(ish) seems to be the perfect combo.
I have one of each. I do like the AR mag version ... because it takes AR mags, but the rotary version is better for hunting since it is slimmer and doesn't get caught on stuff.

I’m having trouble seeing the allure when a budget AR seems equal on almost all front. Threaded, similar weight, price point now is similar, AR is semi auto, both are threaded.

More accurate than the budget AR for paper punching fun, easier on brass (and doesn't fling it everywhere) makes handloading easier, being able to neck size only makes brass last longer, more engaging to shoot with all the manual cycling and stuff.

Would I take it over an AR for hunting, paper punching or 'precision' practice? yes. Would I take it over an AR for civil unrest duty? No.

Some people just like being weird.

Solid explanation and I get it! Thanks!

What's the consensus on the factory stock for these things? I don't know squat about modern bolt guns, but the Magpul Hunter looks like it would be a nice upgrade.

The stock is where they save $. It’s junk IMO. I love my magpul hunter stock I have on my predator.

It is.

The Magpul stock and AICS magazines are a great upgrade for the rifle.

Sighted the Burris optic I picked up today for my 7.62x39 model.

It seemed to like the Tulammo 154gr JSP ammo.

Not looking for a Ruger but the Mossberg Scout rifles in .308 have been out of stock forever. I made the mistake of shooting one and liked it, haven’t found one in stock yet.

Grab-A-Gun has the FDE 5.56 version in stock:

Took Jr to PHA this morning since school was closed. He got this ranch for his birthday last week. We put a 3-9x40 Vortex Diamondback on it in Vortex pro rings. He killed it at 50 yds on paper and then he wanted to shoot steel at 200. It was easy for him to get hits at that range. He and I really like this rifle.

I guess suppressed the x39 has the chance of being quieter being a bolt gun.

They look cool but with ARs being so cheap I just don’t get it.

I have an AR and Ruger American Ranch in 300blk. Shooting suppressed it's hard to be quieter than a bolt action.

556 in stock @ $500

Appears to be in stock at the moment. $510

450 Bushmaster still available.

I’ve got a 5.56 and a .300ACC BO with the old mags, and I think I have an extra mag for each, I’d do $450 each if anyone is looking for one. Neither one has been shoot much. More safe queens and Jeep guns than range guns. They are easy to just toss in the back seat of the jeep and head to the cabin with. I’d post pictures but I’d have to dig them out from the back of the safe, and y’all know what they look like.

Thanks, I was referring to the 7.62x39. Those have been extremely difficult to find at a reasonable price. They pop up in stock from time to time, but you have to be quick!

My experience with Grabagun is when you get the notification and click on link, it will show out of stock. But if you log in and go back to item, it will be in stock. That's how I got my Springer 21 rnd 9mm blaster.
