There aren't any +capacity base plates or extensions currently made for the Ruger SR9. Galloway Precision, once upon a time made a +2 or +3 I believe but they stopped selling them.
A little Google Fu turns up good results with the Arredondo +5 made for the M&P. I picked one of those up, it arrived today and I was able to modify and install it in about 10 mins. So far so good, hand cycles and feeds fine. Going to try to shoot it this weekend if I can.
But that got me thinking about other base plates and whether they would work. It stands to reason that other M&P baseplates should, with the same minor fitting also work.
So with that I have a +5 Hyve on the way. I've been very happy with the Hyve baseplates on my Shield mags. Hopefully this one works for the SR9. The aluminum Hyve feels more substantial than the nylon Arredondo.
Will update once I've got it installed and am able to do a little testing.
