Shooting with strange women.

On a happier or at least different topic from getting shot at....
What do your significant others think about you inviting strange women to go shooting with you? Lol.
Don't they thinks it's weird?
 
Define strange. My wife and I both go shooting, usually together and we've gone with others of both genders. If you're asking, would my wife take issue with me going shooting with a woman? Probably not, but we both have friends of the opposite gender, some as couples friends, some as individual friends. That's not an issue for us in our relationship.

I haven't found any women that aren't strange. :D
 
I am no great shooting instructor, but my wife knows that I focus on safety and fun when I go shooting.

She also knows that I always offer to help new shooters get started be they man or woman.

Lastly, she knows she is welcome to come and shoot too.

So no issues so far. If anything, she probably feels sorry for anyone who listens to me talk about safety.

Lol. I'll be very careful to listen to all safety instructions! I'm not trying to shoot anyone or get shot!
 
Ive taken a few women to the range who have never shot before. My wife doesn't mind as long as she knows its happening. I always make sure that we are going to a public range so it minimizes the one on one nature of the event. She knows that I love to shoot and I love sharing it with new people.

Not to mention, women are sometimes wary of meeting strange men in non-public places! Especially when we aren't armed! (Not that any of the guys here are "strange!" Lol.)

Well, to be fair, most of the women I have taken shooting are colleagues or friends, so it isn't like some super secret "ive never met her before" kinda thing. But you are correct, I can imagine it being a bit nerve wracking for a woman to meet a strange man in a back woods location knowing he is well armed. That's why I always start with roofies...I mean with an indoor or public range.

That's funny!!! Made me laugh so hard it scared the cat!
Yes, people have gotten so out of control you have to be careful. Back in the old days I used to hitchhike to concerts! Cannot believe I was that insane!
But nobody from this forum is a perv, I'm certain!!!! LOL.
(I'd better go check on where I can carry my stun gun.....can't be too careful.)

Well, I meant a stranger, guess I worded it poorly. Lol. But I suppose all of us need to be careful when meeting strangers, right? They might be just strangers, or they might be strange strangers. Now I'm just making it worse!

My wife knows I invite (female) colleagues to go shooting at the archery range. :cool::D

I have gotten to know her. She is just a kind person who wanted to be friendly and nothing more. She even confessed that her first reaction to seeing me in the office that it was rather strange. She had never seen an American in the office.
She now goes to the archery club twice a month on her own. She got hooked.
 
Being an instructor I shoot with "strange" (unknown to me anyway) women all the time. Wife knows about it, I always tell her when I have a student session planned. We always go to my club (RCWA) and everything is above board and legit.
Sometimes they bring their husband or a friend and sometimes not. I don't allow a spouse on the firing line but don't mind if they sit quietly in the background as long as they keep their mouth shut!!
 
Took a few women from my pt job to the range, daytime, wife was not happy at first,
one coworker was 68, the other two were in their mid 20's. :)
We all arrived and left in our own cars, just another range day.

My wife is not into shooting but she can defend herself if necessary.
 
Since my wife knows how much I shoot, how much I enjoy shooting, and how I encourage others to shoot she would not care if I took a "strange" woman shooting, as I would let her know what I was doing and invite her to go along if schedules permitted. Now if a "strange" woman wanted me to give her dancing lessons that would be very different. :D:D

My normal shooting buddy is my sister-in-law and the wife and I have been married 33 years so I don't think she is to worried about it
 
I take my daughters and soon to be daughter in law but I would be willing to take any female to a public facility. I would tell her where I was going and with who. She doesn’t shoot and has no use for guns. Everything to her is dangerous. She’s been asked to go to the range many times just to watch. Will not do it. Don’t think she would mind taking a female but I would definitely ask if it was in her comfort level.
 
As with all things in life it comes down to trust. My wife trusts me so she has no problem with me teaching another woman how to shoot.
 
I asked a woman out, and took her to the range. Later we went back to my house for a "night cap." She said, "I don't do this normally." And I replied, "That's ok, I'm a little weird myself!"

Yeah my wife trust me as well. But there will always be that little streak of the Heck you are. We have a newer girl at work that will always call for help. I swear she will text 4K times and call ten and the wife is all why is she calling YOU?. Lol, after she saw her she wasn't worried.
 
I would never bring a strange woman shooting, if I dont know them, and in turn TRUST THEM, then Im not bringing them shooting.

That said, Ive brought girlfriends shooting before, they loved it. Especially the girl from India, LOVED the AR15
