In the last three weeks a friend has had two slides, that were headed to Lone Wolf Distributors, stolen somewhere in route by or from USPS. Both were being sent for slide milling to mount a delta point.
The first was a G35, Gen4 slide. Package arrived at Lone Wolf with nothing in it and had obviously been torn open. The second was a G22, Gen3 slide. After the first one went "missing", the second was insured for $5k so it had to be signed for at Lone Wolf. They signed for it but, OOPS! nothing in the box. Again, obviously torn open. Both had been completely stripped of everything except the channel liner before shipping in case you see one for sale.
Now it's a finger pointing between USPS and LW. Both are saying 'not my problem'. Could have happened anywhere between the post office in Sanford and Lone Wolf's dock. Beware if you're considering shipping gun parts from or two these points. Insuring the package is no guarantee when the receiver is not looking at things before the "sign" for them.
