Is it just me or is it far less lively around here than it used to be early on?
 
The numbers seem to be going up but there's just not that many responses sometimes.

One of the mods had a thread showing the growth and it seemed to indicate we are gaining people all the time.

That's nice. I guess I haven't been checking in enough to have seen that.
 
Summer break. Lots of folks traveling and outdoors shenanigans

It will pick back up
 
Goes through cycles.

a) it's summer and people are traveling etc
b) nothing crazy has happened to stir up folks

If that kind of chatter was restricted to a specific place it might be different.
Then the gun forum could be about guns more specifically.

Along with that, some of the newer members (2, 3 years…) seem to be much less…cordial…than us old timers.

Seems like a lot of the newer members from the last couple of years are just here for BST more than anything else - seems like it coincided with the armslist exodus maybe. Plus I think people have a lot more going on with the way things have changed in the world so much in the last 2.5 years. Just my .02 cents.
 
well....

1. as posted above: August is either back-to-school stuff, or one more beach trip.
2. politics is not as lively either. NCGA convenes on the 23rd; same as DC does.
3. deer season starts in September.

It’s almost like we don’t have a politics section that’s ask for access to. I showed @BatteryOaksBilly how to ignore certain forums altogether
 
I’ve observed the late summer slow down on this forum, and a few others, for years now. This is nothing new.

Folks are busy this time of year.

About 5,000 to many NEW members as far as I'm concerned.
Nothing but politics and BST ticks.

For some reason I have been looking around here more often the last couple of weeks. Posts have most definetly slacked off, with that I mean people responding to posts is way down.
