TSA Access To Locked Firearms

Side note,

A buddy of mine was going on a Safari in Africa. His gun case looked like a snow ski case.

His compound bow case looked like a bow case.

Guess what case was empty when he landed in Italy?

Yep.

I may think about using a more stealthy looking pelican case instead of one my rifle cases.

In any event, I’d like to have a case that can be locked with a couple of big round padlocks with shielded shackles just like my rifle cases.

@Qball fyi, you don’t even need to put a whole gun in there. Just a lower classifies as a firearm. Get a good case and some locks and enjoy rubbing their noses in the loophole.

Someone above mentioned Master locks. I had one get dented in flight. Almost couldn’t get it open, which is great at 11pm and your jet lagged and tired. I got lucky and got it off. I switched to Abloy locks. Got one medium grade that would be hard for TSA to cut through and a cheaper light grade one keyed the same. The guy at Security Snobs said, if they get through one, a second won’t stop them, save your money.
