Wore them in the Army. I didn’t care for them as a combat holster, they set to high up and no body needs a flap holster in a fight.
The only thing that I remember about those holsters was the complaint that you couldn't easily pull down on the holster flap ring. Folks attached a small loop of cord or a duct-tape tab to the ring to make it easier to pull.
I recall that the flat was removable and there was a thumb-strap accessory available for the holster.
Been using them since the late 80s around the world. I've got several in green nylon and black leather. Flap is removable and reversible for left hand carry. Bianchi made two versions of drop leg extensions, flimsy and rigid. I've got a rigid extension with a thumb break addition. I've still have a rig with USGI web belt, extension, holster, mag pouches that I've carried, dove, jump around the world with. Is it a speed rig for CQB? No! Does it protect and carry the gun securely in adverse conditions? Yes!

I had one until the plastic perished inside somewhere and it was a good secure woods holster. Wouldn't use it for anywhere I expected to need the pistol though.
Something broke and the flap fell off. It was slow to access the firearm inside.
Hmmm. Interesting. Thank you for the info.
Mine was old and well used before I got it though. Had authentic desert schmutz ground in.
Where can I find one cheap?
several can be found on ebay. About $20
