does this look normal?
Elevation turret was a bit spongy...then it just started spinning instead of clicking...
I love it when she says that.Pretty sure that thingy in your fingers is supposed to be inside the other thingy.
he probably missed the note in the directions stating to use a large pipe wrench with the cheater handle..... Hate to see it go sideways for him. Reading directions is critical. Were you using the correct size wrench while turning it??? I bet not. Warranty void.
It possible, it looks like they used the paste Loctite 248- Melting Point, >65°C (149°F)the carbine had been in my truck for a couple days~ It had been 90*+, so considerably warmer inside the vehicle. I suspect the loctite simply melted.

I have a lot of respect for you and what you have done. I have to how ever disagree with you here. Don't slap a cheap/budget chicom optic on a rifle you need to "depend on" is probably a better option.... I have dealt personally with warranty departments from about every major player in the game. Vortex was far and away the easiest... Don't get me started on leupold or bushnell for warranty work... Please share what optic maker you feel is better. Lets please not compare a $400-1000 scope to a $2500 scope....Wow,
three people talking in one topic about how great the warranty is from Vortex...
I call that a clue.
Then how @Tim 's optic broke is not good at all for a firearm one might depend on.
Well, I truly cannot complain about the service. They received the scope Weds, and I have a scope back in hand exactly 1 week later. They say the problem was ring screw having been over torqued causing damage to the scope body. Could be, I bought the scope used and already mounted the ADM QD mount.
They replaced with what appears to be a NIB replacement PST 1-24x24 TMCQ reticle. I don't know if it's truly NIB or a refurb.
I'm going to hold off mounting this one whilst contemplating putting it in the BST area.
