What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Went to pick up an S&W 15/22 today. My FFL had a bunch of guns sitting behind the counter, apparently for other customers. He put a .40 Shield in FDE on the counter and handed me the 4473. I said, no, I’m here for a rifle. So, he finds the rifle and puts it on the counter.

He was not having a great day and ended up tearing up my just-completed 4473 so I did another one. He takes the form, plays on the computer and then hands me a receipt. At that point, he puts the Shield box on top of the rifle and wishes me happy holidays.

I asked him, “You’re doing free gift with every transfer”? He’d filled out the 4473 with both guns and fully believed the Shield belonged to me.

If I owned a single round of 40 ammo, I might not have been so honest.

Dude...I have a lower that I picked up over a week and a half ago that still shows processing.
I just got an email saying my BCG had shipped and gave a tracking number. Tracking shows it was delivered yesterday. I ain't even going to try to figure it out.

Their emails may have been blocked as spam temporarily due to the massive volume given all the promos they had going on.

Cabelas had Blazer on sale, so I tought the kid his own supply to go with his new Marlin so he won’t be sponging off me now. Also got a truglo fiber optic front sight for it so i can actually aim and see it. The white paint pen helps but damn my eyes got old quick y’all!

Picked up a new Thompson TCR 22. First impressions....trigger is God awful. It's like pulling on a sponge. It's been so long since I've handled a 10/22, I can't remember what they feel like, but the trigger might feel identical. Don't remember them feeling that bad though.

Plastic thread protector. Not wild about that.

Otherwise it feels good. For $230 after the rebate, I'll be happy as can be as long as it shoots decent.

Tell us (me) how they work out. I might be looking for one.

I have the Kaw Valley Linear comp on my .458 Socom AR and it works very well at directing the sound away from the shooter, this is on a 16” rifle mind you so I’m not sure how it will sound on a pistol.

I am waiting on 400 rounds of .300AAC to show up. But couldn’t stand not having ammo for a gun I have, so I broke down and bought 60 rounds of 147 grain S&B supersonic and 60 200 grain S&B subsonic. Now I have 4 loaded mags that fit in the 4 mag pickets in my pistol bag. My OCD is satiated.

Jeppo I ended up with the ones mentioned above and Colt SAA and a sweet S&W. We are trying to raise money for one of our closest friends. He is failing fast and the family can use the money. There are 10 N Frame S&Ws with presentation boxes left and 3 Performance Center guns. Phillip from Midsouth in Wagram is scheduled to come Wednesday and buy all that are left. Hard times for good people.

50rd PS90 mag
Colt AR-15 firing pin

Those were the two items I added to a box of ammo my FIL wanted so we could get to $49 at Midway and qualify for free shipping. :D

Four 27rd .45 Glock mags this morning from the BST.

Short term plan will be range mags for a suppressed G21. Semi-long term plan will be to use them with a suppressed PSA AR-45 assuming I can snag one when they become available again sometime in the next 6 months.

Forgot to post this. Ordered Sat from Amazon, showed up Sunday. ~$20. Needed something like this for when I visit my brother and his family, since they have a 4yo daughter and 5yo son. Holds a G23 and spare mag just fine. Opted for the 3-Number combo instead of the key. Also included a cable. Definitely not the most secure device, but should work fine to keep little fingers away.

What was your budget again? :D

Knew you couldn't go cheap.

I tried, I really did.....just couldn’t bring myself to buy a cheap optic and actually I ended up getting some more than I thought in amazon gift cards so I was able to stay pretty close to my budget.

Buy once, cry once. Better to be out a few extra $$ than not be happy with what you bought.
