What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Bought my first AR pistol brace. SBA3 for $99. Tax was added, but shipping was free. Seemed like a decent deal based on prices I saw at my normal places.

My bursitis is akkkin up. Will your brace help?
It might...if used like this...

Bought a Remington R51 because I guess deep down I hate myself. A range report will be forthcoming after I figure out how to disassemble it and take some before pictures. Well, and after I shoot it some.

I got yet another 2 hour lesson with Tony at Jim's. I had a belt/holster and he had me doing all kinds of stuff. A great day at the range....and I also purchased a membership there so now I can go shoot basically for the price of targets! I did good!

Went to look for Savage Mark II magazines locally, ended up with 200rds of Win 5.56, and ordered 2 mags from gunmag warehouse's Ebay store.

Waiting on EGW rail from Midwayusa along with some Tandemkross SR22 floorplates.

My rimfires are getting love in 2019

I just installed a recently purchased new cutter, case holder, and turning arbor in the 21st Century neck turning tool. Caliber .223, just so I can see if I can repeat Toprudder's .223 neck turning experiment. Alas, I have to wait on the expander mandrel to arrive before setting things up and turning, because I never was any good at proof reading and my English teachers will be glad to know that my laziness extends to checking my equipment orders as well.

Tangfolio/EAA .40 Witness National Guard version. Drinks and gun broker somehow caused me to be the proud owner of a target pistol I know nothing about. That said I seemed to have gotten an awesome deal. The attached pics are from google---Any info on pistol would be appreciated.

From a friend. It's time to buy cheap and stack deep my friends.
I agree. A while back, I picked up some D&H mags from PSA, and had problems with them. They caused jams, the last time it happened I had to drive out the live round with a rod down the barrel. They all went into the trash. I've never had a problem with a Pmag.

Ohh, I'm jealous. I'm a big fan of Witness pistols! They are Italian copies of CZ75 design. What you have is a steel-frame. You said ".40" but the frame has 9x19 stamped on it, so possibly the owner swapped out the barrel. The barrel appears to be ported. I've only seen one Witness pistol with a barrel like that, so it may be after-market.

Be aware that there are both large frame and small frame Witnesses, which is important when you want to acquire new mags. I suspect the one you have is large frame.

Thanks. The GB picture of mine wasn't the best so I grabbed a random google image--sorry for confusion regarding caliber. I knew that EAA/Tangfo were CZ clones but have owned or shot one. Evidentally EAA/Tangfo did a limted run of these pistol so the barrel is OEM. Looking forward to picking it up.

I haven't had many problems with metal mags from PSA, the black ones or the teflon ones. But I just prefer PMAGs and MFT mags, because they work, they're cheap enough and they're quieter to carry and won't bend.

•Blem PA Micro red dot (and riser) from the deals thread
•PSA Rifle build kit (passed on the $259 PSA Freedom kit in the deals thread), includes MOE stock/grip, plus MBUS sights and EPT trigger
•and because I was reading the thread recently about y’all warning newbs to not launch springs and detents, and thinking I’ve never launched one much less lost one in ~10 builds, I bought the Midway kit that has extra springs, detents, puns, o-rings and buffer retainers ($7.99 IIRC)

Going to build my son (12) his first AR and give it to him when he finishes the school year (6th). That gives me time to see if we can figure out CFF lowers, or pick out something fun. I think I have a YHM QD flash hider I can put on and he can use one of my Form 1 cans unless I opt to buy another factory can.

It’ll be our first PA optic, and the first AR I’ve built without the basic trigger PSA includes in their build kits.
