What to buy?

I have my eye on a crosman 2240xl. Add a silencer and shoot all day in the backyard for pennies. 👍

There is a person who was known to shoot a pellet pistol in his parent’s basement for fun. It was just over 30 feet if shot on the diagonal and with concrete block walls it was just a little touch up paint on the very rare occasion someone missed the pellet trap holding the target. BB/pellet pistols and rifles are an overlooked item for fun as well as practice and trainning.

I have been looking at an EAA Witness in 9mm for awhile now, have a friend that swears by his but haven't had a chance to shoot it since he's in NC and I'm in Va now. Anyone with knowledge of these?

Classic P-series SIGs, BHP, 9mm 1911 - @wvsig seems to have covered the upper end of your price range with iconic choices.

Now for something substantially less expensive and off the beaten track - a Bersa TPR9 (full-size) or TPR9C (compact).
