I did not doubt you I was simply pointing out that they are harder to come by today. They have been scare recently and most people sell them for $2699+. Also you are quoting a price from almost a year ago. The market on that gun has changed since then. HK is shipping very few of them as I understand it.

To the OP it would be a fun gun if you can score it for the right price. I looked into it but passed because it just wasn't worth the coin for me personally.

Agreed fully, I did score it on sale. But still, 2300 (plus, if you pay about 30 bucks for the Sam Goody membership youll save over a hundred bucks) it helps you relive all your 1980s action movie dreams! haha

Oh, to add - there is a reason I even took a pic of the receipt way back then - because people DID doubt me. I was called a scammer on a HK forum. Funny, people mocked me till I posted the pic, then, within a few days, there were many 'thanks!' as people went out to buy their own at 1800 bucks ha

I remember the HK episode vividly. I watched them heckling him on their high and mighty forum.

By complete coincidence, I was in the Gander store that day when he bought it. I was looking at ammo and heard a familiar CLACK. I spun around and watched the salesman hand “somebody” that beautiful piece.

Nighthawk Custom .1911. Shoots better than anything I have ever handled. You may have to "cough up" a little more $$ than three grand for the Commander size if carrying but WELL worth it. (No, that is not a Nighthawk in my avatar)
