After carrying the 48 for some time I can fairly say a Glock 43 size gun still has its place for me. Do not get me wrong I absolutely love the 48 and can hid the grip, but in summer months I will have the same challenge as I do with the 19’s grip length when bending and printing the gun butt with my light weight fishing shirts. I picked up a sig p365 (gen 3) for those days. I think I would have regretted not getting the 48 had I of bought the 43x, but that is just my personal preference.
I took both to the range and both ran with no issues both are accurate, but the 48 is a little more accurate as I expected; however, both are accurate enough for carry.
Thanks for the tip I will look at that it might work. I can hide it with a tee shirt and bending isn’t a big deal, but the Kleenex thin fishing shirts I wear in the summer is my issue.Look into a holster that has the raven claw. It pulls the grip in tight to your body and keeps the grip from printing. I can carry a Glock 45 in shorts and a t-shirt with type of holster easier than I can my Glock 43 that doesn’t have the claw.
You wouldn't happen to have a G-43 would ya? If so, get the G-48 and then swap your 43 slide over to the 48 frame and walla. The only reason for me to get the 43x over the 48 is that our club from time to time will hold a BUG match and it has to have the 3.5 barrel to shoot it. 10 rounds is tough to beat in a small package. If it was not for the matches, I would get the 48.
