Winter weather??

Are you talking about record cold for here in NC? I see some stuff in the high teens, but I didn't know that would be a record.
 
Booked a 2 night VRBO between Christmas and New years weekends. Taking the kids tubing on the 27th or 28th. Might hit the slopes as well. Can't wait!

One of our 1st years out here, took the wife out for our anniversary (married in dec while on Christmas leave), it was so cold up here the car would cool off (you could watch the temp gauge move) if you weren't driving.
 
Ugh, just checked the forecast, lows in the teens. We just replaced the HVAC system in our house and went to a dual fuel system that uses propane when the temperature drops below 32. I have a propane tank that came with the house, but it's not very large and I am pretty sure it's an 80 gallon tank and when I looked when we first put the system in it had 50 gallons in it. The furnace should get about 3 hours of burn time out of a gallon based upon the BTU rating, so I will be keeping an eye on the gauge to refill if necessary.
 
Last of it just moved out of my location.
 
Could be a little around here on the 26th. Could be.

Yeah…that gray…with the cold “not rain just wet”…THAT’S how we did it up North 5-6 months straight. #1 reason I’m here for good.

Billy, thank you for that reminder. From time to time, it seems we get caught up in whining and complaining and forget the ones who want just one more day with their loved ones no matter what the weather may bring.

Generally when it comes to winter weather the guy is spot on. Basically there. Is going to be a monster storm to our north thst brings questionable weather here bjt at a minimum we’re likely to be cold around Xmas.
 
I'd take some snow and the 30's over those 17-25 🥶. I've got to be outside in that weather.

I'm not a fan of extreme weather Heat or Cold.

I can tell when the thermostat has been moved one degree in my house. I have an article of clothing for every degree change between 20 degrees, and 105. If it’s outside of those extremes, I’m staying indoors.
 
I highly recommend getting a battery power coat. I have a Milwaukee coat and vest since all my tools are Milwaukee but other companies make them. Dewalt, Hart(Walmart), Makita, Action heat, Venture heat, etc. If you like wearing vest, I find they work really well in the cold because I can wear the vest under my bigger coat and it traps the heat in. I got my wife one for Christmas a few years ago and now just about everyone in our extended family has one now and half our church.
