Some folks may disagree with that and start quoting the first seven verses of the 13th chapter, Book of Romans….well, you either believe the Word in its entirety or you do not believe it, at all and if anyone believes that scripture means, “don’t ever lift a hand”, they’re wrong.

I’m not going to delve into a huge discussion here regarding matters of faith/religion…not because I’m ashamed of my faith/what I believe, but out of respect for others on here, who may not believe the same way. Besides that, we have an area specifically designed for those types of conversations.

I will, however, ask the mods/those who do not share my faith for a little latitude and really, what I say in this post can be viewed from a biblical angle or a moral angle…take your pick.

If you have loved ones/family, as a man, it is YOUR duty to take care of them…love them, provide for them, defend them and protect them.

Personally, I believe the Creator has instilled within every man a protective nature…and when I say “protective”, I mean righteous anger, hostility and a predisposition for violence that can be tapped into at the drop of a hat, should anything or anyone pose a threat to those with whose care you’ve been charged…yeah, I absolutely believe that software was factory installed inside every man and I don’t give a damn what some of these folks get on tv and say about masculinity being “toxic” and/or “violence is never the answer”. They are wrong and what they are spouting is 100%, Grade A hogwash.

As a man, if you are unwilling to wage wholesale violence towards any threat directed at your loved ones, you have a problem and you need to get your sh*t wired right and tight.

For me it depends. For my faith, what it may be, I might be willing to be a martyr.

For anything else, I'll fight.

And I'm confident and completely good with that. I'm not a Christian pacifist. I believe there is a time and reason to fight if you need too.
 
There's a difference between violence and force. I'll respond to violence with force.
The disciples asked Jesus about this, knowing that the roads aren't safe from muggers. Jesus told them to sell some of their stuff and buy a sword. Since these guys are the men He trusted to spread His word, and that's the advice given, I believe He's okay with force being used to stop violence.

I have no love for God, or organized religion or the various books of same. But that's me, you do you.

But this isn't scripture, it's sheer biological truth. The organism that doesn't fight to prevent it's extinction is already dead.

The cult of passive obedience and turning the other cheek under all circumstances and the doctrine of abrogation of violence to the state and the state alone is a suicide cult.
 
So one of the officers that shot her is named Moreno, just like the shooter. No relation.

As was mentioned, I have no problem being a martyr for my faith. I have no issue in giving up my life for the Lord.

I do, however, know that I will not make that decision for my friends, family, or loved ones. So, when violence goes down around them, it is my job to step in. It's pretty clear in the bible that murder is wrong, but killing is at times expected, required, or even demanded.

And more directly to any defensive shooting, just because one may employ lethal force to stop violence and murder, it does not mean the intent is to kill anybody. The intent is to stop and that sometimes leads to a fatality.

Gender and sex are not the same thing. You can determine the sex of an individual by looking at the chromosomes. Chromosomes do not change when you alter body parts. You can also look at the different shapes and characteristics of various skeletal structures to determine the sex.

If this were a scientific discussion this might be important. But it's not. And that's just wrapping an ideology and mental illness in the science flag for their own gain. Even bringing it up in this type of discussions just further cheapens science by shoving it further in bed with progressives. That's not their plan, their idea, or their point, it just becomes part of their excuse.

I fail to see how answering a question by pointing out the science that contradicts the mantra of the progressives shoves anything further into bed with progressives. Cutting off your male genitalia does not make you a woman as the progressives claim. It just makes you a male without genitalia who is pretending to be a female. Certain male characteristics are not changed to female characteristics by any surgical or chemical processes as the progressives seem to claim. Sex and gender are not the same thing as progressives claim.

We agree on that. But the left is using the gender isn't sex argument to support their argument way more than the right is.

I have observed just the opposite. The left thinks a male who pretends to be a female by identifying as a woman should use the bathroom reserved for females. The left wants males who pretend to be females by identifying as women to play on sports teams with real females. The judge on the left does not have a good definition of what a woman is because she is not a biologist. A biologist may not have a definition of what a woman is (when does a young girl become a woman) but would have a definition of what a female is. I must have missed the people on the right equating sex with gender.

We are kind of talking around each other. The left wants to use the point that sex does not equal gender. And grab onto the scientific argument to support their ideology. They can choose their gender regardless of biological sex and you are supposed to accept that. The right tends to make them the same. In laymen's terms, they are seen the same. Until the left decided to push the difference for their idealogical reasons. While strictly accurate, the idea that gender does not equal sex tends to support the position the left is taking. They have corrupted the science for their own means. Most people don't care to separate the two. And until the recent issues with transgenderism the only difference was entirely academic. The left has corrupted the academic and scientific definitions to support their idealogical ideals.

I suppose we will have to agree to disagree on this. I have not noticed situations in which the left distinguishes between the two terms. I wonder what a trannie marks when they are asked to check the box for their sex, M or F, on a form. Do they mark their biological sex or the sex they are pretending to be? Why do they want to change their sex on their birth certificate? Why do they get all bent out of shape when they are asked their biological sex?

Trannies do not think of themselves as male or female impersonators but rather as actual biological males or females and insist on the rights and privileged of the sex they are pretending to be. Do female impersonators go into the rest room for females?

Pretty confident you are right in the quoted part. But why all the talk about gender if what they are after is changing their sex? Which we probably both agree they can't actually do. They use gender because they can bend that idea to their will and use science to do it. They are bastardizing the use of the word to their own desires. Because the standard common usage of both terms was synonymous until this transgender/queer theory stuff took off. They think they are the other sex in their heads. But it's easier to lean on the idea that gender and sex are different.

But just statistics, are we truly seeing an astronomical rise in gender dysphoria? Or are we seeing the results of queer theory in action to normalize a difference in gender and sex in the public discourse and push people towards an identity do they can be accepted into the community? The spike in people claiming these things looks to be more related to the popularity of pushing queer theory than any sort of scientific explanation. Unless BPA is actually making everyone more feminine.

The left plays a lot of euphemism games with words. They are behind most of the changes we see in language recently. And if they do it subtly enough they gain a lot of support from people who have latched on to the technical aspects of a term but don't quite see the politicization of the same term. By the time most of them see it the left has established a foothold with their political definitions and it's too late. The current definition of gender is more political than it is scientific.

It's worse than that. With Queer Theory it's not to make them feel better about themselves. It's to "queer everything", which is a quote from leftists based on queer theory. it's intentional. Not just the more standard outcome that past abuse leads to future abusers. It's that plus intentionality on the part of academics and progressives.
 


This is a tough watch. That poor kid. I've seen a lot of these police involved shootings posted on this channel but this might be one of the worst.

Didn’t hear anyone shoot between seeing the kid alive and her saying “you killed my kid” other than her? I’d it was a confusing video.

i know its armchair QBing, but that first body cam... not real impressed with that one. all the times the shooter was looking down i her bag, and he was back in the doorway passing his gun back and forth between hands hyperventilating.

Lot's to look at and analyze, no doubt, but we can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. At the end of the day: Church security capped the psychopath. Good guy with gun won.
Had it been a "Gun Free" zone we might be looking at different results.

This reminds me a bit of the Kentucky trans shooter at that school, in that a lot of the response we saw seemed to be driven by one man who had some confidence in himself and his training. He seemed to change the whole dynamic. People are inclined to follow if you got the stones to lead the way.
 
Gender referring to people as used in normal conversation throughout my entire life has referred to the sex of the individual, and that sets a precedent of validity far beyond what any textbook or dictionary says, woke or not.

I read he was shot three times in the head. That poor kid never stood a chance in life with a mom like that. I saw it this morning and just thought how tragic that kid's situation was.
