You will be missed my most loyal friend.

I remember him barking at me.... I wanted to run back to the truck ...

So Sorry Basil..

……..so sorry for your loss. I'm guessing you and Buddy had a good run together and you helped give your friend a good life. That's all you can ask for when it's all said and done. Here's to Buddy and our furry ones we've lost.

So sorry to hear about losing your Buddy. Losing an animal family member sucks hard. Just remember hes in a better place.

Eulogy of the Dog by George G. Vest:

https://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/resources/pdf/VestDog.pdf

in part:

If fortune drives the master forth an outcast into the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him, to guard him against danger, to fight against his enemies. And when the last scene of all comes, and death takes his master in its embrace and his body is laid in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by his graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws and his eyes sad but open, in alert watchfulness, faithful and true, even unto death.

Sorry for your loss.

That was one very good dog, he was like none other he will always be there with you.
And you done very good with him he would not have wanted a different owner you was the leader of his pack and he loved and respected you for that.

Brings tears to my eyes thinking about the dog I lost a few years ago.

I don’t know what it is about today but one of my best friends lost his dog today also.

Hate it had to end for ya'll. Sounds likes there plenty of good times. RIP.

Man, sorry to hear this.

Geez. Sorry man. Many of us have made the drive to this side of that rainbow bridge. Its never a familiar trip nor do we want to remember the route, recalling only the days and years before.

That’s really sad. I’ve been there and I’m not ashamed to say I cried really hard. I have a 16.5 year old miniature dachshund that is a lap dog that is nearing its life cycle and although she looks great she is almost blind and cannot hear much. I don’t want to feel what you are going thru but I know it’s coming.
