Probably a stupid question, but can I leave play sand in the bags and use them that way?

These are actually plastic bagsNot a stupid question.
If the play sand is in paper bags, then the bags will be likely to fall apart when wet.
They MAY last one use...but they may not. This depends on what stresses they're subject to. Wind driven rains can damage/tear the paper sacks, and once an opening is made, the sand will rapidly wash out with the water.

Does filling my gas tank and gas can count? Haha
I guess I should also ensure my generator starts easily, prob need to clean the carb.
I don’t understand the people buying bottled water. Is your water already contaminated? Start filling nalgenes. Fill your bath tub. Fill 5gal buckets.
Please post a link. The path hasn't changed at Noaa in a day as far as where landfall is.A lot can still change, but she's heading south now. SC is lining up a direct hit after thinking they were in the clear...

We stay prepared so I don’t have to go get in a fight over the last loaf of bread but I decided to make some hurricane carnitas in the slow cooker tonight. Figured they’d be awesome even if we lose power and it’s several days worth of food.
So I stopped at the bi-rite on the way home for a butt and a couple other ingredients. Absolute madhouse. The police had just left after a fight in the parking lot over bottled water, not a slice of bread on the shelf, parking lot was jammed.
But I made it in and out in 15 minutes and the aroma of cooking pork is already filling the house.

mines full of rust and hot water. I'll take my chances with the 2 porcelain tubs, several 35 gal rain barrels, and other cleaner storage before I dip into the musty rustbucketDont forget your water heater...its full of water if you need it.
15min, a little carb cleaner, and a rag and my old 2100w Craftsman generator fired right up with a 3/4 pull. I’m all good.Does filling my gas tank and gas can count? Haha

oh and my prep news for the day: SIG sent me a shipping notice that my 'voluntarily' upgraded P320 should be arriving via FedEx on Thursday. Yay, its only taken 7 weeks to swap a trigger module....
and a 1/2 gallon of Gentleman Jack. My preps are done.
