My wife tested positive today. She's a 46 year old RN in surgical services at the local hospital.
I personally know 5 people who have tested positive, 2 of them in their 80's, none have gotten sick.
Hope she kicks its butt.Bump.

I work critical care transport for a hospital. We have transported over 1,000 covid patients. I have seen covid patients with no medical problems go on ventilators and covid patients with hypertension and diabetes up walking to the stretcher. One of our paramedics and one nurse have gotten it. The nurse was kept in the hospital for about two weeks. I transported a 26 year old weight-lifter with covid getting ready to go on vent with no prior medical problems. Its the worst stuff I've seen. We are well protected wearing caprs and they have outfitted three of our ambulances to negative pressure units to help protect us. WE transporr patients within 150 miles of where I work.
Prayers that your wife will have a speedy recovery with no complications.Bump.

One of our elderly and overweight shooters got it. Spent 3 days in hospital on O2 and they released him. Said it was just like having the regular flu. It is very evident that it (Covid 19) affects different people differently.
Dang, man. Best of luck to you both, and let us know how she does!
My sis-in-law, her husband, and 3 of 4 of their kids had it (they are near Hickory). Her husband's grandparents both had it (also Hickory). My nephew's wife had it (Dallas). I know a handful of docs and nurses who had it.
Dang it.
What next?
She has very mild symptoms. For the last two days, she was fatigued, hurt around her back and lower ribs (actually described it like a mild sunburn), runny nose, and finally yesterday, a fever. It only got to 100.2, but that's what made her decide to get tested.
I'm sure spending 14 hours on her feet at work Monday hasn't helped her condition.
And thanks!
Thanks for the info. I have never been tested, but I wonder if I had a mild version: I had general malaise/fatigue, just felt run down, but not cough/fever. I am not so curious that I am getting any testing, though. If I had fever I would get tested, too.
Sounds like the Cytokine Storm that you rarely hear about. We just got over it at least i think we are over it.
My sister was transported to NE medical center Monday night with what they are calling a "secondary invasion' where it comes again in a viscous way. It has attacked her heart, lungs' and GI track.
Whatever it is its a nasty virus and has some bad effects on some individuals.
In other words, just like the flu. Most of the time, the worst cases have other medical problems. But for some reason, some otherwise healthy people get it hard. One of our elderly and overweight shooters got it. Spent 3 days in hospital on O2 and they released him. Are you talking to @kcult? Lol..... Not a chance.

Sorry to hear that.....Buddy of mine about 10 years older than me (he's 50-ish), caught the Rona about 3 weeks ago, and was hospitalized.
He passed away from it Monday.
Bigger guy...overweight...and I believe he has some other issues as well.
@kcult , tell Dawn that we're pulling for to shake this thing off and get back to keeping you in line.
Bourbon taken early and often keeps the case mild I hear.
Hope you and your wife stay well.
O type are less susceptible to get it and if they do, it's not a serious.I've honestly haven't paid attention to blood types. What have the studies you've seen suggested?
