That's a hungry giant right there.

6 pound body with a 9 pound head.

Can't see it in that picture, but the off side jaw hinge was broken and healed back with scar tissue but not the hinge. Looked like the jaw worked but maybe not efficiently. Never seen that type of injury before. The other bass and bream are healthy and have good proportions.

Shame.

Not quiet a fish pick but a project I've been working on for this winter when the boating weather is crap but doable from shore. I've named it the "Surf Monster". All in for about $100. It is made out of 1" PVC that runs the full length (I dremmeled out the fittings that slide over the horizontal runs then heated them up to slide over). 4' long on top 18"x36" main cabin with 22x11 3wheeler tires I got off facebook for cheap. I got tired of lugging a bucket of live shrimp, waders, tackle bag, and rods a mile from the truck to the spot and couldn't stomach the $300 for the big commercial units. Will be using it for back drum and trout along several jetties. The axle is fixed to the chassis but the tires come off with a pin for loading into the truck. It balances out pretty well fully loaded.

Did you get trapped in a garage with Hannibal and the rest of the A-Team?!?!?

That is freaking awesome.......

haha Thanks! I was hoping to test it out today but it poured all day Downeast. PVC and a heat gun can make a lot of things. You just have to wear a respirator as it gives off some nasty fumes.

I am guessing easy hook and lure holder for your go to baits or a quick tidy place to put one you just cut off.. Easily replaceable. Kinda like the foam holders on fly vests and packs?

That is correct. When I change out a rig I put them on this to store until I can wash the salt of. I don't put any rigs/lures/hooks back into my tackle box if they have been exposed to salt. I leave them on this until I get home and then wash, dry, and repack. I can also put a couple of my commonly used lures on there for quick access to switch between to find out which one they want that day. The noodle holds the hooks more securely than loosely hanging them from the white holder. The noodle is sacrificial and cheap to replace.

I cannot “like” this enough. Care to have a tag along on one of these outings?

I'm not opposed to it. I just don't get out much like I used too. And it's usually with the family. Got some things coming up so that might be our last hike for the year. Depending on how my surgery goes.

Holy Balls. You have got to be kidding me...... That is a LOT of Redfish. Karma is never that kind to me.

Got a nice Brookie today. Close enough to the road for a gimpy fly fisherman. Too crowded on the parkway so we hit the dirt roads. Fished 2 places and picked this one up at the second stop. Need to get back when I heal up.
