Ok, so then we go back to "Lets grow the FBI by a number large enough to handle the massive amounts of calls they get daily, pour more funding into the NSA so they can catch any threats posted on social media of any form, and then a large enough field force to send out agents to the house of every person that is deemed to have "communicated a threat".

that worries me too - to the point that any photo of a student within three feet of a gun begins a witchhunt. my kid shouldnt have to hide that she went to the gun range this weekend, or she got a heirloom rifle for xmas, or any other number of situations that cause a knee jerk reaction from the hoplophobes.

Well, your reply's don't indicate a personal release from profiling. Rather, they come across as all profiling is bad, unfair and against rights and such.
It still has to be a direct threat. So I'm gonna be a school shooter wouldn't fit that charge, but would maybe fit a terroristic threat charge.

The Feds botch this for whatever reason. A threat like that should have been acted on. Also we need to bring back Capitol Punishment and quit screwing around then some of these thugs would start thinking twice about committing crimes.

The only thing unfortunate about the tip not being passed on to local authorities is that the FBI has no excuse for dropping the ball. The Broward County Sheriff's Office had 36 chances to deal with the shooter during 911 calls to his house and did nothing; passed down information about a post on the internet is unlikely to have triggered an aggressive response by the SO.
What good would that do? We have no standards now so there can be no crazy. Kill babies. Good. Girls are boys. Good. Boys are girls. Good. Boys and girls are something in between. Good. "It depends on the definition of is". Yep. Oral sex is not sex. Truth. All cultures and beliefs are equal. Yep. Truth is dead, standards are dead and so is our traditional culture. So who is crazy? I can tell you who will eventually end up in mental hospitals. People that don't fight global warming. People that are religious. People that believe in God. People that aren't 'tolerant'.

It's all good points but we have went from facilities to evaluate people to beds in the ER. If all of the current systems could be shared with less hippa crap it would be better.
