Wow nice first build!!

Thank you! I have another custom rifle but I didn't build it. I enjoyed putting this one together. Have 2 more reciever sets in the safe. One is going to be a 300 blackout pistol and the other is going to be a new lightweight 3 gun rifle I think

Here's the FDE build I completed from the Aero sale during black Friday.

Aero Pencil 16" Middy Upper with Atlas-S 15" handguard
threw a BCM BCG and charge handle in it
Lower is an FDE Aero with some goodies.
Sights are LMT.

I LOVE this Atlas handguard and how light this thing is. I can't wait to shoot it. I want to keep it light so I may try those scalarwork Peak irons that @NKD posted in the other thread. They are damn near as much as a used Aimpoint Pro though....

View attachment 34055 My latest acquisition, a Sionics Patrol 3 LW midlength and MBUS pro sights, undecided and underfunded on the optic front so that’ll be a while.
What pattern of camo is that the rifle is laying on?

Kidding, good looking gun!

Looks great! Not sure if that picatinny adapter is a quick disconnect or not. If not, a couple manufacturers make an MLOK to Harris adapter... really cleans up the mount vs using a picatinny/adapter/etc!

Added a strike industries viper stock to my SPR, and a cheap side bipod just because it was laying around. I also have the strike industries mono pod that is meant for this stock coming. Should be here tomorrow.

I may be splitting hairs but it looks like you’re building a bench gun (adding a monopod etc). An SPR is traditionally an accurized field/patrol rifle whereas you’re heading in a stationary direction.

What kind of ammo or loads do you have planned?

Got this in today. Thing I'm most happy about that I didn't realize is this doesn't use a full length backer so I should be able to mount it a little farther forward whereas I couldn't do that with my rail section because of the gas block.

SPR= stationary patrol rifle. Duh.

I seem to like the monopod better than bags. It was only $20 so we will see.

So far the rifle loves the 75gr Hornady, in steel or brass cased. I haven't hand loaded for it yet.

And really this rifle will never see hard use. I hope to take a long range class one day. It has only seen the bench so far :)
