AR Rifle pic thread

Very nice, what’s the specs?
Sig 516 14.5 upper, Spikes Lower, Rise 3lbs match trigger, B5 grip and stock, Magpul rail ladders and hand stop. Aimpoint Pro. No clue on the P&W muzzle break, but will be a Surefire as soon as I can get a Warcomp.

Mounted it temporarily to get a look at it. All that's left is the forward sling adapter, and I'm on the fence about the Redimag.
My thoughts of using the Redimag. Ok, if rifle sits in a rack/bedside ready for home defense. However, I dislike it for actually carrying the rifle as balance is off. We were issued them with the SOPMOD program in the late 90s. Tried it and disliked for general purposes, ie patrolling, rucking, parachuting, maritime ops.

Specs are
Aero m4a1 lower and parts and upper. LaRue heavy match barrel that I got from a cff member. Timney flat trigger. Ambi safety. Christensen brake. Sig m400 barrel shield. Radian charging handle. American defense quick detach scope mount with vortex strike eagle 1-8x24. Dual pattern ceracote. Defined pattern with military dusted style over top.

Look upon my spraypaint ye mighty.
"Budget" woods rifle. 20 inch Faxon gunner with pinned gas block. VG6 Epsilon brake. BKF handguard and upper. PSA complete blem lower with added Magpul grip and stock. Burris RT-6 in a Warne mount.

Thats nice
What do you think of the bkf handguard? I am debating on it or the aero atlas. Bkf is $56, the aero is $112. Want it for a 350 legend upper i am finishing up

I think it's a very nice handguard for like $50. The retention system might even be just as good as the Aero. It does have kind of a chalky feeling phosphate finish, but it's fine.

It’s the finish that’s what worries me, not sure it’ll blend in with the aero M4e1 upper and lower i am using
I think the color difference would be negligible. But if you're the kind of person that will develop an eye twitch looking at slightly different shades of black, I'd just go with the Aero.
Or spraypaint the whole rifle to match.

Wow I wish my painting abilities were like that. You should make a how-to video!

EDIT: unrelated, I think I will take the retro triangle charging handle off my build... its a finger ripper.

It’s pretty simple… you just pull up to weapon works llc in Burlington and pull out your wallet 😆

Its just spraypaint!

Have you noticed any issues holding zero while having one ring bolted to the handguard? If not how are the groups looking ?

Never had any issues with that setup at all.

I’ve since parted it out and shuffled things around but that was an 18” Rainier Ultramatch with a 17” Parallax Tactical rail that was solid. The rifle shot extremely well and I ran 69gr SMKs with 24.1gr of Reloder 15 in it
