Be careful with white gas aka Coleman fuel

Dang man. Glad you didnt get it a lot worse.

Remember though... better the face than your junk, so there is always that!

Heal up well, and fast!
Yes I agree...and I kept apologizing to the wife for making her look at my Deadpool looking arse. Her words were "I didn't marry you for your looks". By process of elimination I ruled out marrying me for my money as well. So....yeah. I will take flames to the face verses chestnuts roasting on an open fire every time [emoji38]

Ho Lee Crap!

I'm just now clicking this thread because A) thread title didn't sell it, and B) I read your recovery comment in the 686 ad and C) my brain finally decided those two were linked.

I am certainly sorry for your mishap, but it looks like your mind is right (sort of) and your spirit is unbreakable. I wish you continued good results in days ahead.

And between you and me, Mrs Ikarus can be my nurse, anyday. Don't tell my wife (a nurse) I said that.

Thanks man. She used to be a Cert Med Assist way back before the kids. But if she hasn't left me after I almost burned these stunning good looks away I don't think anyone else has a chance [emoji12]

Thanks [emoji4]
This will be another story told in the gun room at Billy's one day.
Much more dramatic than my "flat tire and having many guns in the car" story! lol. Looking forward to hearing about it.....

Today's shirtless selfie for y'all to gawk at.
Every wound is shrinking and my arm is getting less tender. Man if I had burnt my armpit I would have wanted to die

Boy, your face healed up good!

What degree did they classify that area on your arm?

Thanks guess I may do some gunvlogging after all [emoji1787]
My wife no longer requests that i wear a full facemask when we are in public together.

So it turns out that today's common core healthcare no longer uses degrees in describing burns. Mine was considered "partial thickness" burns which relate to 2nd degree. It sure hurt like 40 hells though esp my bottom lip. Sumbitch was numb for about 4 days and now I wish it was. Hurts like an emmeffer

Good progress on da healing!!

Also, your attitude and upbeat spirit are an inspiration. Really.

Thanks for posting a good example.
Thanks. I have had so much lost in the last 6-7 months between my job, my Dad, not to mention the lockdown BS I ran out of negativity about a little mishap with the dancing flames.

Every day I wake up thankful to my Creator that I have my family, friends, and generally good health. Ain't nobody got time to get down. Besides I have a garden to plant, a house to build and a ranch to develop.

Thank you all for listening it's a huge part of recovery...

My mom used to say: "Cheer up! Things could be worse! So I cheered up, and sure enough, things are worse!" :)

Sometimes it takes a reality smack to remind us to appreciate what we have.

And humor is a great coping tool.

I'm just seeing this thread for the first time. I hate that you had to go through this, but you look so much better already. I guarantee you'll be back to normal soon.

Look forward to meeting you some day.

Prayers of healing and thanks for swift recovery coming your way!

Thanks man and ditto. It's a good life, I wasn't quite ready to leave it behind [emoji16]

Wow. I just found this thread too. I'm glad to see how well you are healing up, that is impressive. It could have been a whole lot worse, so I guess on some level the rest of us semi latent firebugs out here owe you a thank you for the heads up. It looks like you are going to be OK, but keep taking care of yourself!

Lookin lots better today. Much more like you and not Freddie.
Dang man I hate it happened to ya but glad it ain't any worse.
Prayers for continued healing.

This world has gone crazy. Old Grand Dad was the swill when I was a drinking man. I'm glad I'm old.
It's all marketing for sure. They both do the job when the pain pills run out....because they give you about 2 days worth to last a week [emoji35]

Here's the arm. Not for the weak stomachs but this is a shitton better than last week. They seriously considered skin grafts but I toId the Dr that I could treat it myself and be diligent about the wound care and bandage changes. He didn't even admit me to the hospital.

Yeow.

I had a friend who fell into a fire once... landed on his forearms. He chose the self-debriding treatment, too. I do NOT envy you! But he healed up right well eventually.

You'd BETTER be diligent about caring for those burns.

The skin is the largest organ of our bodies and it's the first line of defense against infection. If you're not truly diligent about the care, you're in for another world of hurt.

Looking much better, by the way.

Wow! I hadn’t clicked on this thread until today. I figured since it kept popping up to the top and is now 3pg, there must be something good in here.
Sorry to hear of the incident but glad to see you’re healing up well and no serious permanent damage other than cosmetic.

I think if you did not have an RN at the house they'd have you handcuffed to a gurney brother.

Sepsis is easy to acquire through burns!

Glad you are doing so well sir!
My wife used to be a cert medical assistant but honestly I am better at what treatment goes where than her. Basically antibiotic ointment, ibuprofen and bandages just like you would from Uncle Sugar [emoji1787]
