Bud Light is costing restaurants and bars millions

They were running a $13 mail in rebate on a $15.99 case.

I was in Scotty's in Murrells Inlet last weekend and Bud Light cans were $2.00. I didn't so a survey, but I also didn't notice any takers.

Anyone thinking they have learned a thing or actually care what there beer drinkers think are wrong.

Keep up the boycott. They will learn.
Their earnings are still dropping. The share holders will be out for blood soon.
Yes, I did talk to my financial advisor to verify I had nothing in Inbev. He was amused as I was not his first customer to ask that question.

It’s become a movement. An inoffensive way to express outrage at being bullied by a minority.

Should have, would have been done long ago but for asshats like Hannity saying boycotts aren‘t the answer. Hell yes they are. Economic power is huge. Use it. When I ban a company it means nothing, when millions do it, message is sent.

People are really sticking to their guns on this one more than i thought they would.

Is it really a movement, or are people just not wanting to be poked fun at because they're having a bud light?

It kinda reminds of the days when you were labeled a fag if your right ear was pierced.

Good point. However, If people don't wanna get poked fun at then that means the message has spread far enough to put a real hurt on ab's pockets.

As far as the right ear thing... i don't know who started it, but i heard that as far back as 5th grade when a kid made fun of another for it. To be fair, he ended up being gay so who knows.

Billions of $$$ were not on the line with the ear thing..... Everyone needs to keep pushing back against the creepy groomer nonsense. I am doing my part and that is the only thing I can control. Big difference between some one hitting people over their head with their groomer behavior like bud light or an obscure reference to how some folks get a specific ear piercing.

Fair point, maybe we’re just being bullied, or bullying, people. Doesn’t really matter as long as the message gets out.

Anheuser Inbev and their misguided Budlight inclusivity BS just cost some jobs in NC.

Not a bud light issue, this was in the works before that controversy. From the article:
In a February earnings call before the Bud Light controversy, Ardagh's CEO said fourth-quarter earnings in Europe and Africa were up 110% compared to the year before, while North America saw a 9% drop in shipments and falling revenue. The CEO said Ardagh would be closing some plants in the near future.

"Following completion of the turnaround program, we will operate a lower number of furnaces than at present," said Paul Coulson Ardagh Group. "However these furnaces will on average, be larger in scale and more efficient."

And the issue, if addressed at all, will be that redneck bigots boycott and rednecks lose jobs.

According to the same article, it is a direct result of AB.

"WRAL obtained an internal memo from the Wilson plant manager dated May 18. it says, "Due to slow sales with Anheuser Inbev," two of the factory's production lines would be shutting down. Multiple longtime employees at the Wilson plant say most of their business was making bottles for Budweiser and bud light."

We’re a vendor for Ardagh and keep techs on site full time at the Wilson and another facility, I think in Henderson. Their processes trash equipment & due to it being a union shop, the employees destroy equipment with impunity.
Thankfully we’re so busy we can send our techs elsewhere.

update:

Anson Frericks, who once was president of sales and distribution for Anheuser-Busch, wrote in a column published by The Daily Mail on July 1 that Whitworth “has clearly shown himself to be incapable of solving the Mulvaney crisis.”
“He’s had multiple chances and he’s failed,” Frericks wrote. “It’s time he did the right thing and stepped aside to make way for someone capable of righting the sinking Bud Light ship.”
