Can we get a transfer cost thread going?

Cornbread Tactical in Boone does transfers for $20 and are always super helpful
They have apparently changed. After a couple of visits there they charged me $40 for a TX22 transfer.

Xtreme Gun & Pawn in Boone charges $30 and has been very friendly and helpful. I need to check around Watauga County.

I was trying to find something under $30. Seems like everyone around is charging between $30-35. I see some folks posting prices between $5-15 in some areas, I was checking if we have something like that close by. I drive through cabarrus county daily, that works too.
DGS Sports in Lexington charges $20. Just had 2 transferred the other day

$25 at 336 Firearms in High Point.

+1 for LKN Pawn in Denver. $20

Been going there for a while since my last FFL let his expire due to a move.

Jimmy’s been great with anything I need transferred in. Unfortunately they don’t ship out…😞

Need to find a reasonably priced FFL for outbound transfers relatively close to Denver is anyone knows one.

+1 for Raleigh folks. John Gatsis up by Brier Creek. He has a business doing electromagnetic design and construction for the Navy, but has his FFL. Charged me $35 for two firearms on the same form. $20 for a single firearm. Good option for those up in North Raleigh or Durham. +1 (919) 247-0001

FTE IN Reidsville is $20, it's not really in Reidsville but out in the the boonies that have been declared as part of Reidsville even though it isn't.

Edit: Turns out that it's $20 per form, not even per item.

Black stone charges 30 for hand guns. Idk about rifles

Couldnt find a thread for this, so I thought I'd make one.

Beltway Pawn in Matthews, oof.
Bought something from Classicfirearms.com through them, the transfer fee was decent, so I decided to use them.

Bought a $110 complete lower from PSA. Beltways transfer fee? $50. My eyes watered at the price. And I've already got something else coming in there Tuesday.

Lesson learned, not going there again.

Anyone else have some good transfer fee stories/leads?

I was in Pilot Mtn Guns (next to the Harbor Freight) in Mt Airy the other day. Guy behind the counter said $20 transfer. He thinks that's per 4473, not per item

Well, Imma moron. Would someone be so kind as to close the thread?

Before my reply gets lost, Tiffany at Macs Gun Works in Gastonia does transfers for 15 plus canned goods for charity.

Eta She’s a real sweetheart too. I just have a hard time making it there during working hours.

I didn't know their transfer prices since they're not exactly local to me, but I do know that shop, and I can confirm that they're nice.

So yeah, don't use Beltway Pawn in Matthews unless you're doing a local pickup from Classic Firearms.

With a $50 transfer fee, they're trying to tell you something. That purchases bought from online are unwelcome in their store. I, for one, listen to someone when they try to tell me something.

Scott at THSF - $35 ea.

Late to the reply, but have been using GA for a while. Brad's a good dude. Reached out to him about possibly 2 transfers next week.
Just got one set up here, $30 now. Cheapest I have found in a few calls around Raleigh/Cary area. Some mentioned here that are less expensive did not answer (possible table top FFLs) so they are not included as no data from them.

More and more places are charging extra for psa transfers. Lillington guns does it for sure.

Catawba Bait and Tackle (now Rusty Hooks) in Rock Hill is still $20.

$15 for handguns or long guns. Contact person is Audrey Burleson. Add $15 if they have to do a NICs check.

There's several gun shops semi close around me but never use most cause I can buy online cheaper most times. When I need a transfer I use shannoks pawn shop in king nc. It's 25 dollars but great easy people to deal with. Family owned and ran business that I've been using for years. They usually have some decently priced used shooters in there cabinets to.

Do they put Vaseline on the counter?? If not, they should...

I'm always afraid that if I recommend an FFL for their low TX fee, then some clown is going to use them, but tell them something like "I used to go to ABC and/or XYZ, and they charge $40 at one and $35 at the other". All that does is tell my low-cost inbound FFL to raise their price!

Classic has a nice deal with Beltway where the firearm is delivered free to Beltway who only charges $25 for the transfer. If I were closer to Beltway, that would be quite an attractive offer. Maybe just consider the $25 vs $50 as “dollar cost averaging”. 😉

Just enter your zip code, be sure to call to verify they are open and fee is correct.
