Just bought a firearm from these guys. Drove all the way from Charlotte. Awesome people. Very highly recommend them. Had a nice stock of various firearms, and a very friendly atmosphere, and very reasonably priced stuff. I could shoot the breeze there all day long. I will return I’m sure.

Carolina Gun Runners in Raleigh is currently $32.18 . The $2.18 is tax on the $30. Only place I've heard of that does this. FWIW...$32.18 is also 7.25% sales tax on $444.

Do any FFL's local to you support this site? If so, go there. Is an extra $5-$10 on a $500-$1000 gun really going to matter?

Or did I wake up in a third world flea market?:p

I agree 100% to an extent. For me it’s about good customer service and convience.

I purchase most of my stuff used or from online vendors because they are models and platforms the locals just don’t stock or if they do they are $100+ over what they should be.

So I have always tried to find a good transfer dealer. The number #1 thing I look for is good service and that they will accept a transfer from and individual not just another FFL. Price $5 one way or the other is not a deal breaker.

My local is Sportsman Inc in Rock Hill. They charge $35.
great store.
while I live in Columbia, my sis and BIL live in Rock Hill... I am in there and Nichols every time I go up... (usually at least once a month). My BIL is a member at the Sportsman shooting range... knows everyone in there on a first name basis.

Next Level Armory in Huntersville is $20 last time I checked.
They run a NICS even with a PPP or CHP.
No biggie, just a bit irritating after jumping through the hoops and getting the royal decree.

Gotta say, Andre is a really nice guy, seems big on CS. I'll probably do it there if I ever decide to mail order a gun.

There's a kitchen table FFL near me as well, $20 last time I checked. The other LGS around me elsewhere are like $35!

Ya I have spent a unfortunately large amount of $$ in Sportsman.... Lol IMO the store is a very relaxed atmosphere, and the guys and girls there are awesome. Unfortunately they all know me by name..... :) :)

Just to add to the other locations. Last time I did a transfer, Patriot in Youngsville charged $35 for new guns, $25 for used guns.

What makes new guns cost more to transfer?

For the east coast bunch - $30 at Backwater Guns in Wilmington. Looked at a few to buy from them but their prices are much too high for my blood. They like to stick with MSRP
