Cigar of the day

Oliva 30 count assortment from Thompson Cigars:
O Series
G Series
V Series
Melanio Gran Reserva box press was really nice. A few going to some older gents who have helped me with my golf swing and have enjoyed their company.

I love the V series. Let me know what you think of the Wrath. I haven’t been able to find one local to try.

I only have a cheap V cutter so I haven't really played with it much. I nice one is on my Christmas list.

Cigar central.....and charging station.

Well, if you insist...

I only started the hobby a few months ago and wanted to see if Id stick with it before investing in a nice humidor, so its the old skool tupperware for now 😂

Im thinking that I am going to stick with it and keep a few around, so I might splurge on myself this Christmas and get a decent one

I started out with the Apache case and my wife’s uncle got me the leather one for my birthday this year. I used the Apache now as an overflow.

I prefer a V cut unless I’m smoking a torpedo. I typically just use the cheap black plastic one or use my serrated pocket knife to cut a V. I usually chew on the cigar as much as I smoke it so cleanliness doesn’t matter.

Look at the Rubbermaid brilliance line, they seal really well and just throw a Bovida pack in there.

I would do that before buying any humidor unless you just want the display.

Always wanted to try a pipe. Never have though.

Funny story, when my dad was younger, him and my uncle were growing pot. They were using my grandpaw’s pipe and left some in there. Grandpaw came home from work and lit up the pipe and got really high. Safe to say they got into lots of trouble. They also grew it out behind the dog lot and my grandpaw thought it was weeds and weedeated them down lol

Those Boveda packs are great and theres definitely one in that Tupperware right now.

I probably am going to get a decent looking humidor, because, yes, I want the display along with storage. Right now the Tupperware is an eyesore sitting on the bar. A real humidor would look so much better sitting right there

If I came to your house I would assume you made brownies or cookies and they were in that Tupperware. 😂

But hey that is using your noggin!!! 😃

We were in Smithfield today. I was turning to head home and the wife says "you aren't going to stop by JR's when we are this close?" Well, since you said it like that.... I picked up a few Arturo Fuente's and a Nub maduro (I haven't tried one yet).

Question: I use a butane torch to light my cigars, but the problem is when it is cold outside and they have been sitting on the table, they will not light. Besides keeping them inside your pocket to keep them warm, how do you light your cigar or light a new one?

I've notice this as well. I just keep a lighter near the humidor and grab it when I grab a new stick.

This is when we are outside sitting around having a drink and a cigar. I am thinking about putting them some type of bag like a Crown Royal bag. Or if I really want the problem to go away, go and get a cheap hand warmer.

Keep it in your pocket maybe?

PIA to keep getting up and down while drinking (I am lazy). I might have 4 to 6 people sitting around smoking. This way I can leave them in the bag with the cutter on the table. Amazon has rechargeable hand warmers (2) for $19. I will take one to the lake and keep one here in Savannah. As far as the Crown Royal bags, I have many of them that I have collected for years.

Well I was hoping to finish up on some woodworking projects but doesn’t look like I’m going to get to with all this rain. Looks like I need to buy me a pop-up canopy for the basement or just build me a shop

So here I am sitting and listening to the rain and having a H. Upmann 1844 Vibtage Cameroon. Went to JR for the first time last week and they recommended this one with what I already had in my hand. It’s pretty good.

Oh and also, JR was pretty overwhelming haha. That’s a BIG humidor

I assume you went to the Selma location? That is a big humidor.
