Good luck with your search and welcome to the forum. You'll likely have better luck posting a WTB ad in the classifieds section here. There's a fair number of AK fans on this site.

Hope you find what you're looking for. Those paprika freaks built some pretty nifty rifles.

A nice AK-55 reweld sold on the AKFiles for about $2700.

You can still find the kits around, they start at $1500 with original barrel and a good front stub.

Kicks self for not buying a truckload when they were $55 and Bulgarian receivers were $125. To be honest I built hundreds at those prices. Hindsight is a real thing.

I feel like that is a lot of meat on the bone for people who want to put those together. 90% to a 100% profit margin.... Labor I guess probably looks like 20 hours though I imagine, at first at least. Seems like a solid side hustle

When was that???? Holy moly... Was that within the past decade? A second question would be, what is the next make and model that type of increase could happen to? thanks in advance for opinions

That was in 99 and 2000 when Century's broker had brought in 10,000 Hungarian milled kits. The prices only increased because Bush banned barreled kits and a lot of the East Block governements made deals with the US gov't to cut back on their demilled exports or risk the type of ban Russia got.

With he dearth of parts kits out there its hard to do stuff like that any more. Some of the larger outfits like Atlantic can contract out for large lot builds and it drives the price down. Maybe you make $200 on a kit build if you can get good cheap kits and those two words dont go together often.
