Commie Rifle Pics Thread

Picked up a few new black Circle 10 5.56 mags to go with the 106. Also pictured is some nice 2013 vintage Bulgarian 5.56 ammo, which sadly will probably never see the light of day.

Is that the stuff you can buy as “Czech”? Is it collectible or something?

Yep. Same stuff that Ammunition Depot offered for sale for a bit last year. Definitely not something you see every day, but "collectible" may be a stretch. I'd call it unique/interesting, and I'm a sucker for anything in a spam can.

I tried a Zhukov stock on my AK74 and hated the look of it so much I returned it.

So instead I got an East German folder to try something a little more traditional. I like it more than I thought I would. Of course it feels terrible but I love the look enough to deal with it.

I’m gonna put on the EG handguards and pistol grip to see if that looks good.

74 looks great with that folder. Forgive the outdated pic below, but I went with dyed leather wraps for three of my folders. They are very well made, comfortable for me, and don't hinder the folding action. Got them from a guy on the Files/Etsy, although I don't think he makes them any longer. If you're interested and dig the look, you might reach out to one of the leathersmiths here. @gunbelt and @chiefjason immediately come to mind. Hell if they or another were game, I'd be interested in a couple more wraps myself.

Century Arms C39 V2. Brand new gun that one of the contracting security companies bought to equip some of the Ugandan guards here. We only shot 40 rds thru it today with no issues. Gun has MagPull furniture and magazine.

Those poor Ugandans, they were better off with WASR's.
There are some that use mid 1950's dated milled Russian AKs. But those are well past their prime. These are carried in towers or gates. Carried allot but shot seldom. These C39s also get dropped and rear sights break.

That is strange. I guess if it’s not gonna be shot too much the C39 will do the job just fine.

How do the Ugandans feel about American AKs versus the OG stuff? Does the C39 boast a good reputation ("Century = the Cadillac of AKs") or do the Ugandans know they are shit guns? Or do they even care?

They don't shoot much. Think they hit the range once every 90 days or so. Guns are carried/slung every day on shift. I hit the range about every other day. They really like my short 10.3" ARs. Always give greetings in Swahili when I see them.

Captured SVD 1976 dated, missing stock and grip. Fired case in chamber. PSO-1 scope

Two more PKM 7.62mm Medium Machine Guns

Lots of new Soviet 1975-76 dated AKMS. PG removed when wrapped in plastic. PGs recovered.

Pistols are Turkish 9mm guns. Different aluminum models with one polymer frame. I'll pass for a serious gun. Sights are plastic that fall off.

A buggered up SAR-1 that our own resident @digitalpaladin10 was able to build into something incredible.

Polish grip and bayonet, Russian handguards, blued Romy mag, Damage Industries bayonet friendly flash hider.
I was going to cerakote, but now I'm not so sure.
Looks great as is- @digitalpaladin10 is the best!

What can you identify?

That's easy - I identify one hell of a range day

Bear with me, as I'm using the stylus on my phone and I can't make out many details in your photo, but here are a few guesses:

I'm not much of a pistol guy at all, so I could go on and on. Turkish? Rugers also have their logo down mid-grip on a few of their guns IIRC.

Dragunov, if I could only choose one. Followed closely by those two milled AKs.

Nice job IUHossier429!

The PKs are actually PKM (infantry w/bipod) models (safety on left side above trigger, trunions on gas block in front of receiver). Converted PKB (aircraft with spade grips) and PKT (coaxial, solenoid fired) have the safety on the right side above the trigger and no trunions on gas block.
Correct on the SVD Dragunov, RPG-2 and B-10 82mm Smoothbore Recoilless Rifle
On the AKs starting from the far left

Romanian
not positive (coworker took the pics as I was out traveling). Stock is a East German side folder

Pistol is a Smith and Wesson SW9VE, missing front sight

Couple of 7.62x54R Machine guns. First is a DP28 Degtyaryov machine gun. Its nickname was the record player do to the large pan magazine on top (missing here). This specimen was built in 1939 and survived WWII and who knows where else. Its flapper locking system would later be used in the RPD light machine gun.

Next is rarely seen, a Chinese Type 67-2 GPMG. Lots of copied components from other weapon systems. Uses same non desinagrating belts of the SG43, PKM and Maxim machine guns.

Decided to experiment with some leftover surplus romanian and yugo wood and pretty surprised at the outcome. The shark fin set didnt take to the stain as much as i wouldve liked but it has an interesting sunburst type look to it. Also, the dong circumcision went surprisingly well for my first time chopping one.
