This is not cool, but was pretty interesting at the time. I did 120MPH beside South Park Mall on Sharon Rd in Charlotte at approx 4AM sometime in 1972 delivering morning papers, shortly after I got a driver’s license.

Shockingly, approx six years later, the car was still intact. 390FE two barrel.
We had been in the woods a few days camping in the Smokies.

There was a time in your life where you were probably the coolest person anyone could’ve ran into on this forum.

Thank you for that thought, but this post has been fact checked. :p

THis was on the cover of Grassroots Motorsports a while back, I love it.
It's for sale right now
65 (?) chassis with WIDE body on it, new Coyote engine
Setup to turn.
It's awesome.

Factory Five Daytona coupe - auction Tuesday in HillsboroughView attachment 517607
Dayum. Very nice. It looks like it has the real mccoy pin drive wheels, which sadly means it won’t have IRS, because that’s how Factory Five does it.

That said, my ’04 SVT Cobra with IRS would wheel hop like crazy if I broke the back end loose.

Looks like they tried to do a Hoonicorn rip off. Twin turbo 1400hp AWD.

I like to think I had some pretty cool cars. The pictures are not of mine but correct paint colors.

1st car I bought, 1962 Impala, 327/300, 3 speed

Nice, but I always liked the notch-back version better. My first car was a 1967 red Barracuda, like this one except no custom wheels. It was a lowly 273 two-barrel with automatic transmission, but I would love to have it back.

In high school, a buddy of mine had one of these:

Fire-Arrow.jpg
The venerable Plymouth Fire Arrow.

It was actually a pretty neat car (for the time). It had decent power (for the time). And it handled pretty well (for the time). But where it excelled was offroad. It was a natural born rally car on dirt, and we often took it out onto some boondocks dirt roads and farm paths. We spent a lot of time at speed going sideways, in the air, on two wheels and periodically going backwards without even meaning to. And it took all the abuse a couple of stupid teenagers could throw at it and it never let us down. He once hydroplaned, spun, dug it into the dirt in the median and turned it on its side. When the wrecker pulled it upright, and it sat a few minutes, it actually started back up My buddy then drove it home with just one side kinda scratched up and mildly dented. The funny thing is, I don't think there are any of these left anymore. You never see one up for sale. The last one I ever saw was in Raleigh back in '91 or '92.

Same time frame and location, I was doing about 80, at night down Sharon where Sharon-Amity branches off. No street lights there. I saw a can rolling in the road in front of me and before I could even think to react, it had passed under the car. So, that's what it means to out run your headlights. Slowed down a little after that. It was a Dodge Demon with a 318. But, I used to run hard in that area.

Some wont agree, but I love this. I love the small but spacious aspect of it. Little roof rack area etc. Be a great city car.

I just like this a lot, see so much potential. I took this within twenty minutes of the last car I posted lol

I’d love to find one of those cheap. They also made them in 4wd which would be preferable.
