Did You Go Shooting Today

1) kid fishing 2) anniversary 3) shooting two multi day matches the next two weekends - including a trip to Missouri for rimfire world's. Figured it was in the best interest of my health to stay home yesterday [emoji16]

Went to DPRC yesterday with my long lost shooting buddy, @Bullseye Baldee . It was a great day, cool and hardly any wind. I had some 223 loads to test, and I also wanted to test various factory ammo in my x39 AR. After getting the tests out of the way, I rung steel for a while at 200 yards. @Bullseye Baldee had some 45/70 loads to try in a couple of rifles. We found out that his Labradar would measure velocity of the 45 caliber bullets out to 200 yards.

Before we left, we just had to pop a few rounds with the S&W 460, and a Desert Eagle 44 mag. :D

We did have a great time. Shot 6 pounds of lead down range. Not counting a sore wrist from the 44 and 460. Love the 460!

Not today, 12 days straight of 10 hour or more days. Only one more to go. My daughter sent me a text saying her CHP showed up in the mail so we are going on my day off Wednesday.

Broke out the T-120 that I got from @Ian's Dad and let the Wife’s friend shoot it.

Her and the wife both like how it shoots and so do I.

Real smooth shooter with my reloads

I picked up a C100 (75 compact clone) from the same dude a while back. Its a really smooth, nice shooter also. Ive been mostly impressed by Caniks offerings.

Back on topic...my wife and her friend put 100 supressed rounds through my new SP01 yesterday.
I put 50 supressed through the Scorpion.
We were shooting off my back deck and Mr NCSBI agent that lives next door had not a clue lol

75 rounds of new load to confirm performance in the Baer.

85 of old load thru the springer. Had one failure to return to battery on about round 900. About 1/16 inch out of battery. Only failure it’s had. Chalked it up to a bad round, even though I chamber gauge all my reloads.

Got home and found the glued in ejector had come loose. It would periodically bind up the slide. Culprit found. It will be on its way back to Springfield.

Baer is at 6575 rounds. Had some extractor troubles between 3000 and 3200 rounds. No failures since the extractor was addressed.

At TSA today, got my used P229 back from Sig, it would not fire DA or SA only if I pushed the decocker more than necessary,
the trigger bar and sear were replaced.
I ran 100 round SA and DA without any problem.:)
Put 50 rounds .40 in my Px4 and M&P .

With a buddy of mine this afternoon. He purchased a new rifle the other day, and had not had a chance to shoot it. We zeroed it at 200 yards, and then did a bit of shooting for fun. It is a Sav 10 BA Stealth in 6.5 Creedmoor and mine is the same rifle in .308 Win.

I finally managed to hit a range today. kinda sucked since both my arms are suffering atrophy since my disagreement with gravity. couldn't even rack the FNX, but I did fair and shot off a box in the high standard. mildly shaky offhand, so I had to finish shooting 2 handed at 30ft. to have a decent looking target..i think I may be better off shooting spitballs at the meet and greet....

@Bullseye Baldee and I headed up to FLD yesterday. I ran some comparisons of two different batches of 223 (loaded with different seating dies) and he had some 45/70 loads to test with bullets he had recently cast.

I had a shot group going well, the first 4 shots in one hole. The 5th shot was a flier, 1" away from the rest. But the rest of the groups were 1" or less, so I am happy about that. :) I also got my BUIS adjusted.

@Bullseye Baldee had to show off by shooting offhand, standing, with his Sharps rifle, hitting within a couple inches with one of two shots. He is a Quigley wannabe. :D

I was going out to shoot my normal routine, and when I opened the safe I saw my S&W Model 19-3 2 1/2 inch just vibrating....wanting me to give it some attention. I felt sorry for it, as I normally only pull it out for guests who have never seen or shot one. I forget what a joy it is to shoot and just handle it and look at it. After about 50 rounds I cleaned it up and put it back...it quit vibrating.

Had some rare free time yesterday afternoon. So I packed up 300 rounds of 45 ball and took my HK USP 45 and my S&W 4506-1 to Calibers indoor range for a little trigger time.

USP ran perfectly as it has for 23 years. And the 4506-1 ran just as well. I love the 4506-1. It just points well and has been bet your life reliable for decades.

I would feel comfortable back on the street with either one. Regards 18DAI
