Dammit. I thought I was set on the Bergara and you guys are making me waffle back to the RPR and CTR.
EuroOptic price matches and most items pricing can be adjusted if you just ask them to. I routinely get 10% off their already low prices. They're my go to for high end glass.Good deal. You're going to love Tikka. Action is like glass.
Eurooptic is normally the cheapest place for magazines. Sometimes Beretta has sales near holidays...Black friday is Tikka magazine day.
Thanks I will check it out.Love my Tikka Tac A1!
I bought the 140gr American Gunner ammo to use for break-in and brass recovery. I also found it to be plenty good for getting hits on MOA steel out to 700yds.
look up the “Yo Dave” spring for a great, $10, trigger improvement.
Grab A Gun had the best price on the gun by almost $300 and the scope was on sale at EuroOptic for a steal. Paid full price for the mount its a Seekins 20 MOA mount.Sweet baby Jesus. That is nice!
That’s exactly what I want. I have spoken.
I'm planning on going to PHA in the morning to do barrel break in and get the scope close. I'll post more pics after that lol Sorry I'm just like a giddy little school girl, I've never had a gun this nice!No more pics...…… until you shoot it...… then more pics!
Won't be long before you decide to spend a lot more on glass. There's more bugs to catch in this game than just black rifle disease.I'm planning on going to PHA in the morning to do barrel break in and get the scope close. I'll post more pics after that lol Sorry I'm just like a giddy little school girl, I've never had a gun this nice!
Ok thanks I didn't know if it was some sort of PRS safety rule ( like a chamber flag in an AR).I can't speak to the official reason, but my reason is due to law... transportation with the rifle broken down and non-functional is the law in some places ( Illinois) and I never wanted to flirt with trouble. Seems silly when I had a legally carried pistol in my shorts, but it is what it is.
Ok thanks man.I will cut a spot tomorrow for the bolt then. Makes sense to me.For me.......its a visual to others around me to see that the rifle is safe. If there are people around when you open the case or you store the rifle in the case between turns at matches...."Oh the bolt is removed, no worries here". Some matches-cluns require the bolt the be removed unless you are on the firing line and the range is hot. If the range is cold or you are not on the firing line, the bolt must be removed, no exceptions.
Good thing I could flip the foam over. Fixed it to reflect your insightAnd another courtesy thing for that type of a case.....when you cut the foam, have the muzzle pointed towards the wheels. That way its pointed to the ground while rolling and when you open it around people you will know to keep the wheeled end down range and not towards the parking lot!
I have yet to see a Tikka that doesn’t shoot awesome. That is a great looking setup.
Tell your wallet I'm sorry lol.I haven't looked at chassis in a while, seeing this thread makes me want to dive back into researching one for my T3.
Tell your wallet I'm sorry lol.
This is exactly why I love this forum! Thanks I will check that out. I downloaded it on the way to the range so I didn't change anything from stock. That will make it much easier. Thanks!Nice!
You *should* be able to tell BallisticX to change your "Adjust to Zero (ATZ)" to read in MIL instead of inches. That way it will tell you eacctly how many clicks to adjust. Or, if you want to keep it at inches, 0.1MIL is 0.36" @ 100 yards.
Took it to PHA this morning for a quick break in and a rough sight in. First pic below is the first 5 round group at 100 yds. Shot with magpul bipod and a small rear squeeze bag. Second pic is about 10 minutes later and it’s the next 5 round group. I moved the scope so that’s why group moved. I’m still learning this MRAD thing. @BowWow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I failed to give warning to reloading rounds for your new rifle. Be cautious as the rabbit hole is deep! You will find yourself trying everything possible to ring out every little bit of consistency in your rounds. A degree of OCD is a good thing in this process lol.
Gun guy logic dictates that since you have .308 reloading dies that you need another .308 rifle just like the 6.5 TikkaI already reload for hunting rounds in my 25/06 308 and others. Got a rock chucker press. All I would need is dies and components. Lol.
