Gun guy logic dictates that since you have .308 reloading dies that you need another .308 rifle just like the 6.5 Tikka
Lol my wallet nor my wife would allow that at them moment

Wait till you start looking at mid to high end glass. That'll be 2-3x the cost of the rifle.Lol my wallet nor my wife would allow that at them moment

I started at mid-end glass because I knew I'd just be tossing cash in the fire if I tried to be frugal. The trick for me was to buy "last year's" model when it was being closed out to make room for the new hotness for this year. I don't care one lick about having the older reticle.Wait till you start looking at mid to high end glass. That'll be 2-3x the cost of the rifle.
Sign up for EuroOptic's email and they will also let you know when items go on sale. They also will negotiate a little on pricing. I routinely get about 10% off items from them if it's not already market down.I started at mid-end glass because I knew I'd just be tossing cash in the fire if I tried to be frugal. I had to unsubscribe from those. EuroOptic and PSA could spend a paycheck faster than my wife, and that's saying something.Sign up for EuroOptic's email and they will also let you know when items go on sale. I feel like I've got pretty nice glass on it already with the Vortex Viper PST Gen 1 6-24x50. Got it for $499 from EuroOptic. I know its not the new hotness but I feel like it will serve me well!Wait till you start looking at mid to high end glass. That'll be 2-3x the cost of the rifle.
I already reload for hunting rounds in my 25/06 308 and others. Got a rock chucker press. All I would need is dies and components. Lol.

It's a great shooter. I have a Marlin XL7 in 25/06. I shoot 110gr Accubonds with H4350 and its never disappointed. Killed deer and hogs with it. Its pretty flat shooting. You are well on your way! How do you like the 25-06?
Tried a Tango Down Flip grip a buddy of mine uses. Might be worth a look.
Thought it was pretty cool and I found it comfortable.

I've never shot paper past 100yards until yesterday. Always steel.
I'm kinda happy with this result...these Tikkas can SHOOT!

Went and did some shooting today to check some reloads for a ladder test. Shot this five round group at 200 with a pretty eradic wind.

Took it to PHA this morning for a quick break in and a rough sight in. First pic below is the first 5 round group at 100 yds. Shot with magpul bipod and a small rear squeeze bag. Second pic is about 10 minutes later and it’s the next 5 round group. I moved the scope so that’s why group moved. I’m still learning this MRAD thing. @BowWow

Just curious. What was the break in procedure?
I shot 1 rd then ran a dry patch through it. Shot 3 then another dry patch and repeated the 3 and dry patch one more time. Now I’m just running a brush through it every 100 RDS followed by dry patches I’ll clean it good with hoppes #9 when I hit 500 RDS. There’s so many different views on barrel break in out there I just went in the middle kinda. I honestly don’t know if it makes a difference.
