Found a gun store in Greenville SC that will not sell me a gun they have in stock. Willing to give them CC over the phone and pay shipping to my FFL. Will call management tomorrow! Palmetto Arms Greenville South Carolina.

It sounds like maybe they didn’t want to ship.Never had a gun store not willing to sell there firearm for asking price.

When exactly did businesses lose the right to deny service at their discretion?
Seems like a great time to decide to never do business with them....guess they
It was a 45 70. I just think the guy didn't want to do paper work because they were close to closing time. I have bought 100s of firearms online and over the phone. Never have had this happen. I will call the management tomorrow. Just a lazy sob wanting to get paid for a job, but not wanting to work. What was the firearm?

My son worked in the busiest gun shop in eastern NC through two years of the panic. It was chaos. He’d get to leave about one to two hours after close. Flat pay.Gotta admit it seems fair. Everyone is within their rights. If a shop is open until 5PM and a gun sells at 4:50, they should honor their operating hours. If they're hedging on that for the sake of laziness, it's fair to get a bad review.
Just my opinion, not worth any more than anyone has paid for it...

I worked in the car business for two years, twenty years ago, while waiting to open my business due to a non-compete contract.
Have you worked with the public lately?
And screw all this bad review sh!t. You read reviews these days? Half are all bad because of idiotic and unrealistic expectations.
You can’t even judge a good product anymore because of all the self entitled bad reviews.
Everyday! Will stay open to make a sell. Old school! Not woke!My son worked in the busiest gun shop in eastern NC through two years of the panic. It was chaos. He’d get to leave about one to two hours after close.

Have you worked with the public lately? I suspect not.
It was 30 min before closing. Paperwork takes 10 min. Come on?????Ever done business with this shop before?
And why, oh why, would you want to do that to someone right at closing time?
Makes me not want to ever sell to you if you lived next door, to be honest.
I think the guy was young and lazy. Wants to get paid for just being there. I have run a business for 38 years and would fire the guy on the spot!It sounds like maybe they didn’t want to ship.
30 min before they close? I have a CC and FFL. No reason except laziness!I have seen several gun/pawn shops with signs up saying no paperwork processed after a certain time.
Happy Friday Professor!Ever done business with this shop before?

I think it started with cakes or brazilian waxes...something like that.

See, if I had known this earlier I probably wouldn’t have started my whiskey-fueled Friday-night rant.30 min before they close? I have a CC and FFL.
Agreed. Most people don't know how to post a good review in the first place, whether positive or negative.
I pretty much ignore all such posting and look for ones that are well written, if any.
Extreme negatives or positives require details on why. A review of a product should give functional and meaningful details.
If a product/service rates 5 stars and is "AWESOME!", then I expect a written justification with useful details.
Same for 1 star reviews and "sucks!".
This.If PSA, then they don't ship. They'll have you go online and order from there I believe. Their policy as guns get shipped around less.
CD
I am going to call today and find out. I did go on line and it is not updated. There were 3 firearms that my friend saw there, none of which was on their web page. I do understand the employee problems of today's times. Will update! If PSA, then they don't ship. They'll have you go online and order from there I believe. Never have bought anything from this company. So I will step back and call this morning a speak with a manager. If this is their business model, then I will accept it. Just never ran into this before in the gun industry.This.
You called a brick & mortar store and are upset that they won’t ship. Think about that for a minute…
While shipping is VERY common these days, not all places do it, gun industry included. PSA is interesting in that they are primarily an e-commerce company who also happens to have a growing brick and mortar presence. However, you have to understand that a brick and mortar location often operates differently and separately than the online arm of the business. The stores may not have the internal processes to ship guns, so while you’d like to fire the employee, he may get fired for going rogue and trying to make up a shipping process. Heck, the store may not even have a UPS account if they’re only receiving shipments from vendors and PSA’s distribution center.
Bottom line, you can be upset that you found the gun you want and are unable to buy it, but you should take a step back and look at both sides of the situation.
So what I am getting from this thread is there is a 45-70 for sale 15 minutes from where I live!
My experience with PSA is their brick n mortar stores are entirely separate from their online store. No common inventory or coordination at all between the two separate and distinct entities.I am going to call today and find out. I did go on line and it is not updated. There were 3 firearms that my friend saw there, none of which was on their web page. I do understand the employee problems of today's times. Will update!
Update
I was wrong to be upset at employee. There business model is unlike any other firearm dealer that I have heard of. Each store is set up with shipping capabilities. But will not sell a firearm in stock but not online and ship it. I do not see the benefit of this. I have friends in different states that are always going into gun stores looking for the things I like or want. Just as I do for my friends. Smaller guns stores can't afford websites and the cost of keeping them updated when you have only 1 or 2 people working the store.....mom and pop shops. This store has all the capabilities to sell, ship and transfer firearms but chooses not to. Very strange to me....and yes maybe they want to offer something to there walk in customer. But my friend did walk in, did find a firearm that I wanted, and store would have made a sale. If he would have bought it for himself, they would have packed it up and shipped to his FFL. So the only thing lacking was me not walking in their store.
But it is their store, their rules and I will play by their rules.
I will choose not visit their store when they open near me! I am also sure they will never miss me!
I understand but that wasn't the issue. Their business model is strange to me. I have bought guns from Florida to New Jersey and west to Texas and never ran into this. But it is their rodeo!Any time you introduce “Hey, my friend is looking for one of these!”, there are stores that are afraid they are being set up for making a straw sale and they will clamp down. Whether what is being proposed is a straw purchase or not. Not saying that is what happened here, but it could be.
