Regarding potential marital relationships, I think one thing young couples contemplating marriage don't realize is that very often this person who they feel is their soulmate actually thinks very differently than they do on a day to day basis.
I mean, just the way they view the world, and daily decisions. It may seem like they think just like you, and have all the same values, but I think that while many members of the opposite sex may have identical values to ours, they arrive at those mental destinations in a very different fashion.
I was a bachelor till I was 34. Over the years my little black book became quite the repository of names and phone numbers that represented relationships that simply were not to be.
That said, keep this in mind. As a general rule, men are often very compartmental in their thinking. Picture PO Boxes at the post office, or cubby holes in and old desk, whereas women tend to be very global in their thinking about life and everyday events.
Stretch your arms out wide, and draw a big circle in the air. This is the "globe" within which women think, and only God and the woman knows what's in there.
