I doubt that...all I've been shooting is the Shadow 2, and you can't shoot that in IDPA. I'm kinda out of practice with the carry guns. But I'll race you for 3rd. That's Earnhardt's number...sacred ground in Harnett county.

Only way I'll ever be 3rd is if there's only 4 people entered and Stevie Wonder is one of the 4. I haven't shoot a match in months. I'm just hoping to break the top 50% and not DQ:)

Here is an easy way to start your research. This shooter has a bunch of H2O videos on his page. Still, it's nothing like seeing it in person and meeting a few of the "characters" who are regulars there.

I'm very excited to see a bunch of guys (it's mostly guys, I'm guessing) running around with loaded guns and shooting! I myself have just learned to walk with a loaded gun (in a class a couple weeks ago), so it should be interesting to watch all the rushing about.
And I agree about the "characters"....so far some of the most interesting people I've ever met are the forum people and other gun people!
Thanks for the link!

There are usually a handful of lady shooters too.

Just found out my instructor is shooting in this match. It will be interesting to see him in action, other than adjusting my grip and helping me solve the low left in the rifle room at the range!
(He's also saying I should do the match....maybe he's as nuts as y'all are! See you in a few days.)

Yep. Sign starts at 8, safety brief at 9 then commence to burn powder.
Found some G43x mags. Don't think I'll shoot that gun though. My rule is to shoot what Ive been carrying lately. Since November Ive been carrying the M&P compact 3.6. Guess thatll be my ride Saturday.

Due to the weather forecast we are rescheduling tomorrow's match to Saturday April 27.

This will work great since Deep River's usual match that weekend is canceled this month.

Squish? I could watch that, I guess.....lol. See you in a couple weeks.
That mud is slick. I've been SOing at least twice in recent months when I was running a shooter who went down in the mud with a loaded gun. It's just dicey with the big turnouts H20 gets and the percentage of new shooters.

Plus wet score sheets and target pasters that won't stick to targets is just aggravating.

I was one. It's not a good feeling.

Don't feel bad. One of the shooters at the Buccaneer match rounded a corner and his feet squirted out from under him. Did a giant belly flop face down. BOOM.

Finally detail stripped and cleaned the primary match blaster for Saturday's festivities. Ugh.
Someone on here once said, "I treat my lawn mower better than I treat my 1911's"

Oh yea. @Amp Mangum
:D

Somebody I know offered you a nice lawn mower for a 1911, and you could have done the trade and treated the lawn mower very nicely.

Still on for tomorrow? Noticed it started raining about 15 minutes ago...
This stuff is gonna blow through in no time. I was there yesterday and the place was the driest I've seen it in 18 months, so there *might* be some mud from this afternoon's rain, but I'm guessing it won't be bad at all judging from the radar.

Woo!

Highly likely I'll run the G2c again, worked well enough in the last match. I think it's technically CCP and not SSP, but with so few mags I really can't screw up.

And replying to my former self, NOT shooting at all the targets is not how you conserve ammo. I got lost on stage 6... :(

Man what a great day for shooting, I had my first major issue today with a firearm. The first stage I shot my pistol would maybe run 2 shots and then become a jam-o-matic. We were shooting from retention and I couldnt figure it out. First though it was the ammo. Changed ammo and still had the same problem. So I was really disappointed so I packed my stuff up and went to the truck. When I got there I decide to break the gun down to see how dirty it was. I'm not know for keeping a gun spotless anyway. It's a new gun and maybe had 300rds through it with no issues.
Well then I started thinking I was limp whistling it. So I geared back up and heading back down to my team. I ask @blewis3 could I join back in because I thought I had figured it out. This time I started the stage 2 handed and the gun ran fine.
Since I didn't have a run in the first stage I asked @Amp Mangum could I run that stage again. Thankfully he said he wanted everyone to have a fun day and shoot all the stages. So it just happened that his team was shooting that stage I had issue with. He let me shoot first so I could catch up with me team. As soon as the timer goes off and it happens again. Thankfully AMP noticed that I had the gun leaned toward my body and the rack was hitting me and not letting it cycle freely. Instantly he told me to rerack the slide and turn it away from my body and the problem was solved. With my adrenaline pumping I didn't feel the slide hitting me. Another lesson learned and big props to the SO's

There must be trouble in paradise. We got no scores yet.

Maybe practiscore is fubar. No scores posted there in six hours, and it's Saturday. There should be lots of match scores posted.

the sage of H20 should be able to say some magic words and fix it right?
There are probably IDPA/USPSA/Steel Challenge/Etc, shooters everywhere saying,

"WE WANT OUR SCORES!!"

I'm just happy to have outshot the Geezer Squad from the Wilmington Mafia.
