Post-41F NFA Stamp Tracking thread

well, that's why in marriage you can have one tied to your name, and secret other ones on the side that aren't tied to you in any meaningful way - that way you can drill as many third holes as you want. if you mess one up, just swap out for a different one and move on, - i'm talking about marriage only, not the other thing
I'm sure there are drawbacks to this plan, but who cares? I mean sure my ex wife would have shot me in my sleep instead of just ditching me. But what's the harm!

If anyone was curious, Form 5320.20 submitted via email on 9/11/23, approved 9/28/23, received via mail 10/10/23. So around 30 days full turnaround (got another one I submitted that day I haven't gotten back yet, so probably this week).

SBR Form 1

Submitted 9/14/2023
Approved 10/17/2023

Crazy that the February submissions took like 6 months while this took 1. Still have two more submitted that day I'm waiting on (resubmissions).

I have one e-file form 4 from Jan 13 that isn't approved yet. Maybe I need to call my cogressman too.

4x Form 4 submitted June 6, 2023
3x approval received November 9, 2023

Waiting on that last one to show up!

Side question: is a 5320.20 required on suppressors traveling out of state for a few days? I believe the paperwork excludes them, but some people say it's supposed to be done...

They generally ask for more than is required (you know, for good measure, just to be sure), so i'd be surprised if they asked for less than they needed in this instance.
When I moved down here, I did relocation paperwork for sbrs, but did not include cans or AOWs. ATF never bothered me about it.
if it's not required, I wouldn't bother.

Nope.

Form 4 says:

As pointed out above, silencers and AOWs are not listed…so it’s not required.

eForm 4 certified on 17 Dec 2022 - in process
eForm 4 certified on 26 April 2023 - in process
😖

Still waiting. Guess I’m going to call and ask for an update

Edit: called the ATF and was told “they are in process but keep an eye out for them (especially the first one); they could be completed any day now”

Finally think I figured out the method to forcing these ass bags to do their job. Had my congressman’s secretary reach out to the FBI, not the ATF. She emailed on Monday, NICS completed Wednesday.

Yeah everything got fixed for me when I got an elected official involved.

2x eForm 4 through Capitol Armory - Submitted 6/20/23, approved 12/7/23.
I'd like to note that after my dog being diagnosed with cancer today, this is just further evidence that I have my own personal FBI agent watching me, and he just pitied me and threw me a bone on this one.

So sorry to hear about your dog mate.

@BigWaylon im googling and cant find it. Am I required to show my tax stamp to anyone but the ATF (local police, sheriff, state trooper, etc) if asked?

Your choice. The form itself says:

So you can refuse if you choose.

However, NFA items are illegal at the state level in most states. NC is included in that list, where they’re considered “weapons of mass death and destruction”. The exception to them being legal is if they’re properly registered.

So you can refuse, and you can take the ride downtown if you choose (if that’s what they opt to do), and then use the form as your defense in court.

Or show it, and most will have no idea what they’re looking at.

Some ranges will also request to see it. Their rules. I walk when that happens…but I’d show it to LEO if I thought it was allow me to go home.
